Yes, but it does trigger old stuff from my last relationship. I knew that would happen btw, so I was not shocked by it. I am shocked by how strong those fears & feelings can be. Totally overwhelming at times. But I take responsibility for them, work through them. I know that if I want to be whole in a relationship, I have to, and I really want to. So yes, but it ain't necessarily always easy. yes its very hard to give old stuff and very painful also, like being reborn and necessary growth.the most growth is when we have the AH HA ourselves which releases the old and lets in the new....when we release the past illusions there is a void that must be filled.....great work your doing !!!!! |

I would like to know what your thoughts are on meeting someone from this site face to face after just exchanging emails on here for a couple of weeks... Both of us live in the same area and I'm talking about meeting in a public place for a drink during the day. we haven't talked on the phone or exchanged personal email... would a person be crazy to meet me or am I crazy to even ask someone to meet me in a public place without talking to them on the phone first??? I am 60 years young and female. I just want a casual dating relationship that starts as friendship and ma or may not lead to more. Time for the normal mourning process. You know, denial, anger, sadness etc. And with time getting over it, recovering and moving on. Willpower has a lot to do with it. Some ppl remain stuck in one of the phases of the process for the rest of their lives and become eternal sulkers, whingers and whiners. If you are determined to have a happy life, and have enough inner strength to want to feel good, you'll get through it and find happiness again. And happiness doesn't mean a new partner per say. If you can't be happy on your own, you can't be happy with a partner. That's an illusion. Some like to live that illusion, if you do, it'll take forever to get over a relationship. SO TRUE ABOUT DENIAL....STUCK IN ONES AWARENESS AT THE TIME WILL REALLY STUNT GROWTH AND HAPPINESS....TAKING CHANCES ON NEW BELIEFS AND BEHAVIORS CAN BE SCARY FOR SOME...WE KNOW WHAT THE OUTCOME IS IF WE HANG ON TO OLD BELIEFS AND FAVORITE FEELS AND EMOTIONS BECAUSE THAT'S WHO WE BELIEVE THATS WHO WE ARE..... |

For the love of Charlie ...

Walking along a beach track this morning I found a gorgeous silver dog tag in the shape of a paw with the name Charlie inscribed along with a cellphone number . I contacted the owner and was saddened to hear Charlie died a few years ago . They asked me to dispose of the tag .. They didn't want it back .. This made me even sadder but I understand ....... I never met Charlie but I just cannot bring myself to throw her tag away in the rubbish . .. Instead I put it in an old antique jar with a solar light and sea shells and hung in a beautiful oak tree overlooking the beach . It did make me think about my own dogs and what i would do .. when their life ends .. wondering what others did in this situation

I respectfully disagree. The heart wants what it wants. But the brain knows what it needs. Besides.. Just because we love someone, does not mean, we can or should live with them. Or that they are good for us. FIRST PART ; I respectfully disagree.
