Which is the opposite of what Obama has been preaching about bringing back.... Realist News' Guy Jsnip4's take on this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yef946Coa98&feature=em-uploademail see how fast that wipeout happens if certain politicians succeed in making us a privatized country,,,,, DUH! America IS a privatized country...the DESTRUCTION of the Middle Class is the RESULT of SOCIALIST policies of the last FOUR years...SOCIALISM doesn't allow for a Middle Class...READ SOME HISTORY. The STUPID here burns sooo much. The vast majority of land in the West is socialized. The monetary system is socialized. Not surprisingly, the right-wingers who like to ***** and moan about it now helped bring it about; especially the neo-conservative Right. |

Take my word for it....it ain't a matter of talent....it is who you know. Talent is nice....but plenty of great artists have died pennyless. No talent hacks like Worhol and Bob Dylan get a good write up by some clueless idiot and thier fortune is made. If you love art...just do it....fame and fortune will come or it won't. The market you are in will largely dictate your economic viability....to a point. Beyond that, you gotta kiss a whole lotta butts if you want success. I didn't write the rules. Kruppster knows what he's talking about! Fortunately, there are a few more opportunities to sell art on the interwebz. It's always going to be a rough biz though. |

I don't think it matters. Students can be perfect... they get all the right training. And no...I don't mean underage by saying students! Inexperienced = students!!! Teach me!!!! Down boy. You are not a student. I could use a teacher. |

Free Will?

This is a quote from Stephen Hawking. “Do people have free will? If we have free will, where in the evolutionary tree did it develop? Do blue-green algae or bacteria have free will, or is their behavior automatic and within the realm of scientific law? Is it only multicelled organisms that have free will, or only mammals? We might think that a chimpanzee is exercising free will when it chooses to chomp on a banana, or a cat when it rips up your sofa, but what about the roundworm called Caenorhabditis elegans—a simple creature made of only 959 cells? It probably never thinks, “That was damn tasty bacteria I got to dine on back there,” yet it too has a definite preference in food and will either settle for an unattractive meal or go foraging for something better, depending on recent experience. Is that the exercise of free will? Though we feel that we can choose what we do, our understanding of the molecular basis of biology shows that biological processes are governed by the laws of physics and chemistry and therefore are as determined as the orbits of the planets. Recent experiments in neuroscience support the view that it is our physical brain, following the known laws of science, that determines our actions, and not some agency that exists outside those laws. For example, a study of patients undergoing awake brain surgery found that by electrically stimulating the appropriate regions of the brain, one could create in the patient the desire to move the hand, arm, or foot, or to move the lips and talk. It is hard to imagine how free will can operate if our behavior is determined by physical law, so it seems that we are no more than biological machines and that free will is just an illusion.” It's my thought if we humans do have free will it developed along with language. This is an interesting debate among philosophers of science. The classical physicists' understanding of motion suggests that the universe is deterministic. Modern physics suggests, for the most part, that the universe is not deterministic. So, from what I've learned about this subject so far, it's still debatable. |

Bartender! Pour me some OJ and one of those fruity liquor drinks with the little umbrella in it. After that, I'll have one bourbon, one scotch, one beer.
