You'd think after leaving me for another guy who was also a gearhead, also a student of engineering, and also living over 2,000 miles away, that I'd forget her and never look back...but she's all I ever really had, so I can't emotionally afford to let go of her completely. We still chat every once in awhile, but there's some days where I'll be fine and other days where I just want to ream her out in every way possible for leaving me like that.

Sounds to me like you need to get out without the parents and meet more people your age, go to the local Starbucks, or bar and put yourself out there. That's the only way you are gonna change your situation. The best things in life are worth the risks.

I do, and I end up with the same result: flat nothing sad I'm really beginning to think one of my California buddies was dead-on when he labeled me a "misplaced child", shoulda been born and raised over there. I got nothing in common with anyone around here anymore it seems grumble

UFOs: Sure, don't you watch that show on Discovery channel? TV doesn't lie! laugh laugh laugh

Aliens: Of course, there's prolly 3 or 4 of them at work by me. Oh wait, you mean from outer space...?

Bigfoot: That's that Ford pickup truck with the big tires, innit?

Ghosts: Well, I like to tell people my bad fortune comes from my dead relatives messing with me from beyond the grave biggrin

Dang, why in the world go someplace to watch if you have that good of view from the house? From my experience in different cities, that's just stupid.

Sounds far more relaxing anyway.

Well it's not a "money" view...there's a line of trees next to our subdivision, so you kinda miss the ones that don't get up there ohwell

Not to be mean or anything, but why did you not go with a buddy instead of you parents, you might have gotten more attention.

I'd need a buddy first. I'm kindof the town oddball, the kid that never really fit in with anyone. Most of my friends live out of town, and most of my best friends live across the country. ohwell

Once again I forced myself to go along with my folks to watch the 4th of July fireworks in town here. Normally that'd be a fun thing, but what really kills is we sit at the town skatepark next to the field where they set up for the best vantage point, and behind the skatepark is the town fair. This year-literally-it seemed like every guy there had at least 5 girls hanging off him. And here I am, all by myself frown

Just give that knife in my chest a little twist, why don'cha? sad2 Shoulda just stayed home, flipped the tailgate down on my truck & watched from our driveway with a rum & coke in hand

I race R/C trucks as a hobby, and back when I was just starting out I had a little problem with making clean passes. I'd done a lot of testing before I started racing, so I was fast by myself, but I never had to deal with getting around other trucks. I'd come flying up behind someone and not knowing what else to do, ram into their back bumper  Someone, pretty sure it was my buddy Jeff "Wild" Katz, made the comment I looked like a guided missile and it stuck laugh

I learned that sometimes no matter how much love is there between two people, they may still not be meant to be together.

Aint that the truth! flowerforyou drinker

Amen to that...

far as celebs go, I've got a bit of a crush on Mariska Hargitay from "Law & Order: SVU"

Beautiful, not a total Hollywood b!tch in real life, and where in the world do you get a name as sexy as that?!?

Geez, I dunno...I really thought me & my last girlfriend were going to go all the way, then out of the blue she calls me up & says she "wanted to take a break from 'us'", which then went from a break to a full on break-up sad tears sad

There's prolly a lesson in there somewhere

Dumb question while we're at it: can you get a tattoo over scar tissue? I've got a scar on my right ankle from a 3rd deg. burn that's about...geez, prolly 10 years old. Stalled my dirt bike on an uphill and fell over, the exhaust header pipe found it's way past my pant leg shocked Normally I don't really have an opinion on tattoos but if I ever decided to get one I was kinda thinking about having the artist do like a torn paper effect around the edges of the scar with a bike & rider inside, like he's "breaking through" the scar. shades shades shades

yes you can and they can hide it pretty gooddrinker

well I don't want him to hide it, it's a battle scar dude! laugh I had my crash during the annual weeklong family roadtrip vacation up north...on MONDAY. Whole week = shot slaphead

Actually now that I look at it, 99.9% of the discoloration is long gone, now it's just this kinda odd "bulge" over the surface of the skin. Hair even grew back! biggrin

For a girl's hair color? Not something I'm picky about, although somehow they all seem to relate to her personality IMO:

Red: Fun & energetic
Brown: Intelligent
Black: Sexy
Blonde:...hehe well, we've all heard "blonde jokes". And there's plenty of guys that think it's cute if a girl's a little ditzy laugh

<---blonde huh

Well it's also one of my strong belief's that every rule has an exception happy

good answer  flowerforyou

...And if someone questions one of my rules and I can't think of an exception, I just tell them that that's the exception to the rule that there's an exception to every rule

 Would you stay married to someone you love but no longer find attractive?

If you truly love them you'll find them attractive.
