Flooding hasn't been bad right where I live in East Troy, I kinda think it's all draining into Alpine Valley. But I do drive through parts of Alpine Valley on my way to work, and some of the farmer's field look like garbage...poor guys

What kind of graphics card does it have, see if you can tweak any settings specific to the format. Try another .wmv player such as winamp or something like that and see if the same thing is happening, make sure your graphics card is updated to the latest and greatest drivers. Assuming I'm looking at the right thingie here (I'm not much of a hardware guy, that's my goofy brother's claim to fame), it's an nVidia GeForce Go 6150. I'll try updating everything & grab Winamp, & get back to ya

up grade your media player !!! or do on-line update with windows...might do the trick I'm pretty sure I got everything on the up and up...like I said, one of the things I tried was uninstalling WMP, downloading a fresh install from the Windows site, and using that to reinstall it. I would think that'd give me the latest and greatest, right? |

My last girlfriend and I were exceptionally close to each other, despite the couple thousand miles distance between us. So of course one of the ways we kept in touch (besides lots of phone calls, IMs, and webcam conversations
 ) was to send each other little doodads from where we lived, T-shirts and trinkets from where we both lived and such. She got me a Pismo Beach, CA keychain that blinks my name when it sees sunlight that I use as a zipper tug on the front pocket of my laptop bag, I got her a vintage tee from Slinger Superspeeday in Slinger, WI (she's just as big a motorhead as I am), stuff like that.
Well, now that she's gone and I'm trying to move on, I keep seeing her gifts everywhere and it brings me down. I'm trying to decide if I should put most if not all of it in a shoebox and bury it in the back corner of my closet, or what? I don't wanna toss it, we still try to stay friends. I dunno

For some reason all my .wmv clips suddenly decided to start playing really dark on my laptop, not sure why. It's not a problem with the files themselves, I've uploaded a couple to my Myspace profile and they display fine. It only seems to be .wmv's, and I can't find any "default settings" for brightness or contrast I might've accidentally screwed up. Already tried uninstalling, downloading, & reinstalling Media Player, no dice, as well as running all my antivirus & anti-spyware stuff, defrag harddrive, etc. One of my more computer-capable buddies suggested I use System Restore to roll back to before the problem started, but none of my restore points work; they all error out and I get a message saying no changes were made. Any ideas? This is really putting a crimp in my video editing projects...
Laptop is a couple-years-old 17" HP Pavilion dv9000 Entertainment PC running Windows XP Media Center. |

I just bought this game (only $10!
 ) from RedLynx the other day, if you've ever played "Trial Bike" on Miniclip.com consider this the final vision of the series. Really addictive game, especially since all the fast times as well as their replays are uploaded to the RedLynx site so you can compare your run to the guys with the best passes & see where you can improve. There's also special stunt courses where you're scored on number of flips, distance you can carry the front tire, & "Dynamic" courses with moving objects you have to negotiate. Every license is good for 3 machines, so I'm riding and now I got my goofy kid brother riding for me as well. and I s'pose if I find that "special someone" on here, she can have my 3rd bike 
You can find the game on redlynxtrials.com. Darn good deal for $10. I could use a few riders for my team too, if anyone'd like. I don't even care if you're good or not

 Think about the person on here that you think is the most annoying person on this web site. What would you do if you went out on a date with someone, had a great time, and then later found out that that person is the same person that you think is annoying on here?
Yanno how long I've been PRAYING for someone to take that exact same leap-of-faith towards me?
I would probably then think he was funny... that perhaps they were just being annoying because they "could" online..being a smart azz, playing around..
