Frank I have to agree with you, we are not always taught here in the states how to think before we speak. We speak with emotions that are only words many times and expect someone to forgive the hurtful things that are said. I agree that we do plant seeds in our conversations whether they are good or bad. Many countries have a courtesy when speaking to someone, boundaries that cannot be crossed depending upon your status. When I returned to the states after living out of country for several years, it was hard to hear the harsh words that were spoken on a daily basis even in the work arena. We have such a diverse population here that is allowed freedom of speech, does that not include freedom to hurt also? It does, I would like a program introduced into the school system at elementry level that teaches respectful thought,and speech. Respectful diversity is trying to be taught but falls short at many levels, due to the misunderstanding that if you do not speak English or behave like "An American" don't say anything at all. I am sure this might start some problems and flair some tempers, but again I understand the boundaries that Frank is speaking about. Thanks for the topic

I find it fulfilling that we have such a devistating story that at one time broke our hearts and for me I thought I would never get past the pain. After the healing and therapy to understand, out of the blue I find so many that have dealt with the same issues. Thanks to all of you that have been so very honest and open with such a hard subject to even talk about. I don't about you but while writing my story, I was crying all the way through. Reading what others have posted and the strength that each of us carry with us, gives me encouragment and empowers me to live on happily and know everything is for a reason. Such a sad subject to bring such kind hearts together. Thanks for your sharing,

Hi ya'll haven't been around for awhile, I see there still are those guys trying to get to the most beautiful women we have on this site.
I have to share, I just helped my daughter, 210lbs, get ready to go out for the evening. She looks beautiful and gorgeous. She is complete within herself. She comes from a family that obesity is hereditary, but that does not stop her from knowing she is beautiful inside and out.
She is going dancing with her older sister who is 130 and feels as capable to attract a man as her sister.
A simple man may be a male gendered person that looks only on the outside, but a real man and who you need to concern yourself with is male gendered and looks at every part of you and see the universe. Every star does not shine as bright as you. This is a real man. I believe I have read some insight from a few right here on this forum.
If a person is different then what the society of commercialism denotes then you are beautiful because you are different and stand out in the crowd. Use it and take advantage of being the first to be seen and then heard. Choose your words wisely and the words you use will reveal the soul and that is what we all seek a soul mate.

This is a subject that I don't talk about much, but to help you know others are out there that have loved ones that have been, are or were depressed might give you some solice.
My best friend shot himself in front of me in 2004. He did not let on he was going to do this to me or anything. I was in the process of moving the only clue I got was he mentioned that day, he was afraid he would never see me again. I had replied I would always stop by and visit. We had been friends for over 30 years.
That evening he was sleeping on my couch, he woke me up and talked to me awhile, although he seemed depressed that I was moving, I had no idea what would happen the next minute. I got up to get a drink in the kitchen, looked up from the sink just in time to see him shoot himself in the head on my couch.
Needless to say, I lost my best friend I have ever had, and still miss him to this day.
I wish too, that I would have seen some sign, but a therapist helped me to understand some people don't want to die alone. And that he chose to die with his best friend. This gives me no solice but perhaps it did him.
I don't know why people become this depressed and when they do anyone around them should seek help for them. But I do know as a person that lives on I remember him fondly and the great times we shared as friends. Even when someone decides to take thier own life they need to be loved even in thier death.
