You walked behind me

tripping me as we went for kicks

you chose to stay behind

so you could watch where I was going

and you told me I was the one

who held the hand

of the fate that you served so hot

and so fresh with insults and rapture

burning my soul

but what you want isn't peace

but something deep

like a tigers eye

you want to fly

but your so deep and low

sometimes I think you lost control

of what you knew was right

I don't want to be your project of rejection on sight

and I don't think you know

what the pain seems to know as well as you grow

in the shadows of rezentful minds

cause I held the twig

and you burned it in my hand

but what would a simple woman do

If she couldn't read your thoughts

as well as you read

like the dead and fresh memories of yesterday

and I don't want to be your little plaything

and your so intent on focusing

does it hurt

does it live like ice

does it penetrate your every hour

your every vice,

you could never play nice,

and I smile just a bit at the thought

as you stop and stare at me

such greedy eyes you have

like a mind sucker

oh what a surprise,

yet your ever so wise,

crooked smile,

crooked lips,

crooked lies,

you don't even leave me room to sigh

you never had faith in me,

it was only my tears you wanted to taste,

a fragment of the woman I had become

the woman you couldn't bare me to be now,

I mean, why should I have it so 'easy' afterall,

doesn't pathos have a meaning for you too afterall,

lets say we dance here, twiging and twining

little drops of blood dew on your insanity,

your games,

why not twist the sinew of your unforgiven heart,

so we can finally catch it,

right where you are,

and so you attack,

and the fear is the only thing that screams

cause I don't live here where you can find me anymore

Beware the one who walks with you,

what a burden it is,

to carry the vampire of despair and sorrow and regret

upon your shoulders

it isn't that he is never satisfied,

its just that he will take you with him

deep and deeper still

if the taste of your sorrow,

is more than he can live without,

and more than you can let go....
