Done that. Not pretty. I've been working since I was 13. It would have been really cool if I could have had time off when the kids were young. With the second hubby & child, I also cleaned houses on top of my full time job to make ends meet. And he was the one with the college degree!!! grumble grumble grumble

I have always been supported, helped out when asked to.My family believes the man should bring home the bacon and the women is to work the home, kids and help the man on the farm, lol. I believe that way too but I also believe in working to help out your man with bring home some of the bacon, lol.

No one ever HAS supported me, nor do I expect them to. But I won't support him either--it has to be a team effort.

Equal rights means the ability for a woman to make her own choices, silly, not necessarily to indulge your concepts of the ERA!! laugh laugh laugh

It is love and affection that is more important than supported financially

why does a love relationship has to be based upon financial support?
that is why marriage by the state is such a disgrace.
the only ones who need to be supported are the children bore by the couple.
the spouses are adult independant individuals who need to be able to financially support individually because as far as things are right now getting married and divorced is as easier as changing underwear.
