Really it's a simple answer: If you are concerned with money while in the dating stages of a relationship to the degree of who is picking up a 50 dollar dinner bill or a 10 dollar movie ticket.. get out. The level of interest isn't there. You will find when you are with the "right" person, little things like that don't matter. As far as how i currently date, i always pay for the first date. Based on interest level if i ask her out again, i again pay.. if she asks me out, she usually pays. Maybe i'm different but someone with a little independence is sexy to me. I don't want or need a puppy as a mate. As far as past long term relationships, you will find things tend to even out in different ways.
