It's been a very stressful few weeks. It's hard enough to deal with parents old age but even more difficult when they are far away.

My mom has been through a very difficult time with losing her friend who was admitted into a nursing home & her greedy family who are unco-operative & sneaky.

It's a miracle that my mom even came back up to stay for what she thinks is for the holidays. She was admitted into the hospital here for a number of issues. She had a complete work up & they are regulating all her meds & probly putting her on an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med.

I saw her tonight & she is in so much better a state of mind than she's been. We found a senior day care so she will be active during the day while we work & with the holidays coming there is plenty of parties, galas & local holiday shows to take her to.

Just spending some quality time with mom & there is nothing like the "mom" touch. You're never too old for that! drinker  drinker

I wonder how others fair with dealing with these sort of things?

ah yes...a " mom's "...touch...something I haven't been able to feel since 1991...she's sorely missed... ...so young lady...cherish every second...minute...hour, and day...that your mom's touch...is their...just for you...there's nothing quite like a mother...cross my heart...

Yes well we are going to keep her buzy. She needs to get out of the funk she was in. I told her tonight...when yu comin' over to make sauce? LOL Why should my sis get all the good cooking?

Fact...Jesus was born.

Fact... We celebrate as a reminder of who He is.

Fact... For some dogma is the only "religion" they will know.

So I say.....

Ho! Ho! Ho! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

There is no such thing. Even LIBS have their intolerances to deal with...their Christian hatreds for one.

It goes to the question tho...

How far is too far? When is enough, enough?

Why would you think that Liberals hate Christians? More importantly, why would you say it out loud?

I don't disagree with you that everybody has their intolerance's, though. I have a hard time tolerating you.

But, that's a very good point! I now know what open-minded is not. Thanks!

Yes I'm glad you can look in the mirror & see yourself for who YOU are. laugh

JMO, and I reserve the right to be wrong with itlaugh Obama will push for the bailout of the auto industry for one reason...he sold his butt to the unions to get elected. Saw tonight on the news (abc) that it costs GM $71 in hourly wage per person to produce a car. It costs Toyota $56 an hour. GM blew it on their business paradigm for the last ten years. Let them pay the price for their errors, or they will just continue on with the same bad decision making. I am sorry for the employees, but, perhaps their decision-making by embracing a company that has been losing money for years shows that perhaps part of their problem is of their own making?

You have no idea what you are talking about. Many bad decisions by the auto industry is not the fault of the workers. Those were corp. decisions. They should not be bailed out only to leave their debt to the taxpayer in addition to leaving working class people jobless.

That is not free enterprize but corp. welfare. blaming thw workforce is not going help find solutions anymore. Americans have sacrificed too much for years & it's time they had a voice again. ALL workers...not just unionized.

I will say this...we are facing many things but we can't be fearful or we won't get the ideas needed to correct these problems. Here's what I don't want to happen...

That we give them the money & they go out of business while CEO's walk away with millions.

That they junk all the vehicles that aren't selling instead of donating them to charities who could use them. AFTER they use kits that have been shelved to make these vehicles more fuel efficient that is.

I don't want to give money to the industry but I don't think the auto workers should lose their jobs or be forced to work for nothing either.

Our legislators should not have to rush some bill thru under pressure either. Mistakes are made that way. I hope OBAMA doesn't let the political peddle pushers push him around either.

Blah Blah Blah... this is exactly what I mean by hate toward Christians. You all are so venomous toward anything that doesn't agree with you.

That's what's so hateful. I notice that there has been no opposing POV...some people really do know how to keep the peace. Maybe some here could use some lessons in grace & integrity.

Yes, the majority rules.
but does that make it moral?
If the majority of people said that stealing is moral.
Is it?
And if a few said they did not believe stealing was moral then are they just confused?

You seem to be proposing that there is such a thing as an "absolute" when it comes to morality.

But that is not the case.

"Morality" is what the majority says it is.

Look at it this way: in the entire history of mankind, is there anying that has been considered "moral" by every person who ever lived?

Uh No...morality is judged by their consequences or blessings.

You live a long life provided you aren't killed by someone who didn't know that sticking a knife in someone would kill them. Right?

If you work everyday your wages will provide food & shelter for you. Right? Without work or labor you gain nothing...Right?

There are moral absolutes. For sure...

Well with all the hate against Christianity on this board I'm not surpized that if Jesus did come back those who hate Christians would hate Jesus....AGAIN! They would kill Him all over again.

I say let it cave...then we can go back to mama papa stores & people using their own creativity to sell instead of all the cheap stuff coming from overseas.

The auto industries should have been putting the fund into making the vehicles already made more fuel efficient. Sell those before they start producing new vehicles.

Most people don't feel like they need to give someone they don't really know any explanation. It makes me wonder if there's something in their drinking water that says..."I'm a stinkin' rat & there isn't a darn thing you're gonna do about it." You really don't wanna go there now do yu?

I've never seen a BBS that didn't have nastiness etc on them, & count on this...people will come & go & it was there before they got there & it will be there when they leave...& will still be there if they come back.

Some people don't feel safe unless they are traveling with the RAT Pack. Clicks are even in these little cyber communities.

But as for you? Let it go & ENJOY!

Word of Encouragement

Concentrate on this sentence...

To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.

When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Here's some encouragement for the weary. Keep your hand to the plow & don't look back or to the left or right. Keep your eye on the One who hold the keys.

Get Ready For Our BRIGHTEST HOUR"

In the World There is Tribulation

It seems that everything that can be shaken is being shaken. This is not the time for the Body of Christ to be discouraged. It is the time to encourage ourselves in the things of God. The Lord has told us these things. John 16:33 says:

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

We must remember that we are in the world, but not of the world (John 15:19). We are of another realm. We are of the Kingdom of God. In John 16:33, God tells His people to take courage because the world without God will fail, but we can have peace in the storm. We can have peace when we focus on Jesus and the Kingdom of God where our provision comes from.

Provision of the Kingdom - Trust in the Lord

When we focus on the world, we walk by sight and trust in man's order of things. Then we are aligned with what the enemy wants us to believe in. When we focus on God and His will, we align with the Kingdom of God and His provision. Listen to what God is telling us in Proverbs 3:5-10:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body,
And refreshment to your bones.
Honor the Lord from your wealth,
And from the first of all your produce,
So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine."

The first thing God is saying is to trust Him with all our heart. God is not worried about man's economy. God has a Kingdom economy that He wants on Earth as it is in Heaven (Matthew 6:10). He tells us that if we won't lean on our own understanding, but in everything acknowledge Him, He will direct our path.

In other words, the keys to the Kingdom of God come to us as we trust and acknowledge Him. The provision of the Kingdom comes to the Believer by faith. We are not walking by faith if we have fear, because we are going by how things look. Proverbs 3:25-26 says,

"Do not be afraid of sudden fear,
Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;
For the Lord will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught."

When we trust in God, when He is our confidence, then He keeps us from the enemy's snare. When we focus on man's economy, we hold back because of fear. In Proverbs 3, we are told to honor the Lord from our wealth so that our barns or houses will be filled with plenty.

God wants us to overcome by sowing so that we can have a harvest. We reap when we sow; this is the Kingdom release. It is opposite from the world's order of things that tells us to hold on to our seed. What good is it to talk about the Kingdom of God coming on the Earth as it is in Heaven if we don't possess it? Jesus said that "the Kingdom of God is at hand" – which means it is reachable.

Our Brightest Hour - Arise, Shine!

Now is not the time to hold back. It's the time to release God's Kingdom provision for healing and restoration to a desperate world. The world will be looking for answers more now than ever before. This should become our brightest hour. Isaiah 60:1-3 says,

"Arise, shine, for your light has come.
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness will cover the earth,
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you,
And His glory will appear upon you.
And nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising."

Remember, be of good cheer and get ready!
