I need to rant for a bit! It is one thing to tease someone in a forum. With good intent. Ya know, give someone grief in a joking manner! I think that is fine. All part of being on Mingle and I love it. What is becoming apparent is that not everyone here is being kind. They are nitpicking and tearing others apart for stupid reasons. Let's lighten up people and have fun! Please, I am begging you. It is becoming annoying having to back others all the time for being attacked! Get a life!

It's been going on for awhile Sweety...but if it is commented on, all we hear is how we are prudes and can't take a joke...I still believe that people can be humorous without hurting someone or bashing someone....wish they would try it...not only would they have a ton of friends....but we could actually have fun ALL the time on here

Glad I missed that drama.

I've just been seeing it a tad more lately and it's bothering me. Maybe because I am paying a little more attention than usual. But I feel bad when my friends are singled out and bashed. I'm a take no chit kinda girl and I refuse to stand by and watch it without sticking up for them.

There you go...we all need to keep our feet planted and stand against it, I try but can't be on 24/7....I know how you feel and I hate it too....just remember that as you defend your friends....protect yourself And it has gone from looks, to comments and now bashing bad spelling...we all need to remember that not everyone and read and write, and just because some of us can....with typo's and all....we are all still human and are in no way perfect...and those that feel they are, have no business hanging with us plain ol folk....

Actually, I've made friends with people for defending them when I didn't even know who they were. You were wrong on that one!

Here, here!! Teasing with people we know from here is one thing. Bashing and picking apart is another.

No...I've been on here for almost a year. Lately the hostility has been a bit out of hand. Among the new minglers and the old. Maybe I just wasn't paying as close attn as I should have been!

I used to be a very active poster I have slowed way down because I don't come here to be harrassed, I go to work for that! Most of the people I used to chat with have left because of the hostile climate here.

I would disagree with that statement since the mods do a great job here banning hostility and there is no better site out there. They left for their own reasons...

okay.. so.. I have noticed a little bit of hostility myself.. but to be honest.. if I feel hostility I generally will be hostile right back.. and thats just because I believe that no one will stand up for me if I can't stand up for myself.. so.. big kudo's for buffry for at least standing up for someone.. but honestly.. the ones who generally start the bashing are generally the first to walk away if confronted on their bashing.. IMO...

Those who don't like the drama try to aviod it, but when it gets too bad simply leave. I spend way less time here now. I am here for fun & to relax not to fight.
