MS 13 Doesn't play around. They are notorious for killing witnesses in cases against them and known for their violence.

The majority of the gang are illegal's.

Indeed. The 'powder highway' has made Mexican gangs who were ruthless to begin with bigger and stronger spreading faster than AIDS and farther than killer bees. They're even in Europe.

Didn't want to leave out the FACT that General Petraeus served in the war against terror under Dubyah. A war (unconventional might I add since terror has no return address) started in two non bordering countries Iraq(for HW) and Afghanistan(the wrong country since someone wasn't there). The clueless one who completly unhinged the cobra basket was dubyah. Once those dominoes started falling there was no turning back. He and murderface(Cheney aka Tricky Dick 2.0) took the war to Iraq. They kept it there until they left office in 08'. Obama inherited a country tired of war and armed forces facing a terrorist turnstile for a theatre of war that never should have been declared the way it was. Had Obama not began the drawdown with everything going on in the region with the Twitter coups and Ukraine, things could have gotten much much worse than they are now. But hell, the Arabic world tearing itself apart has nuthintaduwit dubyah. offtopic
Sorry, someone remind mbg what this thread was about.

1. Obama used Executive Orders, he is not the first President of the United States to use an Executive Order, nor is it breaking law to do so. IF his use of E. O.'s was unconstitutional, the GOP MAJORITY House and Senate have (Checks and Balances) a LEGAL course of action called Impeachment to remove him from power. They CHOSE not to use it. I wonder why?

2. Neither Obama nor his administration armed isil. As part of the original campaign PROMISE, he enacted an orderly draw down of U.S. forces as advised by our military leaders over time to include training the Iraqi military police etc. and leaving them U.S. equipment and arms they felt AFRAID to face the influx of terrorists without. Despite the efforts of years of training and armament of the IRAQI forces, they turned tail and hauled *** back to Baghdad leaving everything behind. That's how isil got the equipment.

IF Obama thought the bunch of lady golfers called the Iraqi Army was going to hold their own and use U.S. supplied weapons effectively, then his entire chain of command told him the biggest bald faced lie since "The check is in the mail." and should be summarily dismissed for dereliction of duty. We keep on hearing how intelligent Obama is, and how he figures training people who have no will to fight will change things. That logic makes Dubya look like a genius.

ISIS in Syria got weapons like a bully gets lunch money. The Free Syrian Army started out as shopkeepers, farmers, and office workers picking up AK's and trying to keep themselves from getting slaughtered by the Assad regime. al-Qaeda said "Oh look, newbies with nice shiny toys!" and took them. ISIS said "Oh look, our enemies have nice shiny toys!" and took them away from al-Qaeda. Once the first shipment of weapons gets stolen believing that the second, third, and fourth won't meet a similar fate is asnine. So YES, Obama ARMED ISIS.

3. IF Holder actually broke any laws, he is subject to U.S. Law. No charges have been filed.

Of course no charges were filed. Obama exercised executive privilege over Holders emails, so that he can't be punished. Do you really think that Holder was completely clueless, and didn't know about Fast and Furious? His White House staffers were exchanging emails with BATFE agents and offices about how well the program was going, and how they wanted Holder to go down to the border and give them a pat on the back and shake some hands. The trip gets cancelled when the border patrol agent was shot and killed with a F&F gun. Do you also not think it's ironic that an administration who spits out something about gun control on virtually a daily basis, is itself handing assault rifles to Mexican drug cartels? HILARIOUS! Yet no one goes to jail for that brilliant move.

4. Petraeus is retired. A retired U.S. Army General. I suppose he is perfectly within his First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech to make a suggestion you don't even understand. It takes a long time to become a U.S. Army General which comes with lots of experience in that Specific theatre of war. They don't hand those stars out as prizes in cracker jacks.

I completely understand the generals tactical thought process. He thinks al-Qaeda can do a better job killing ISIS in an asymmetrical battle space than coalition aircraft can, and in the process the West need not put boots on the ground. Once again, since you apparently don't understand the concept, al-Qaeda is OFFICIALLY an enemy of the United States. It's like suggesting we arm the Germans to beat the Japanese in WW2.

"war against Christian women"? What are you smoking?

Actually I quit smoking almost 4 years ago, so not smoking anything. My go to actually is 25 year old scotch. The GOP is CONSTANTLY being flogged for its mythical war against women, but here a woman that has been jailed by a defacto arm of the Democratic Party, the Supreme Court, for exercising her religious beliefs. She's a woman, she's in jail, she's a Christian. Do I need to break out the crayons to help you connect the dots?

Starting with Holder, as AG, as one person, he couldn't plan and or facilitate this type of operation on his own. Nor could the doj. Nor could the other 3 letter agencies. Nor could either of them or the heads of them control 100% this type of operation. This type of operation is not purely investigative in nature, nor is it purely based in [Legal proceedings and the adherence to the law within those proceedings.][This is what the doj does]
Iraq.... Have you been there? I have. When I was there Obama had not yet announced he would run for President, and dubyah hadn't bought (or stolen) reelection yet. He was still trying to finish what HW hadn't.
Only the incident that caused attention be turned to the middle east didn't happen there. It started here, years before when HW was President. Anyway, when Obama took office with the PROMISE he actually intended on keeping (bringing the troops home) we had to leave the Iraqi military with some weapons. We had to train them. Had we not done so or planned to do so after dubyah left office things would have been much worse and much more far spread than it is now. Dubyah had no plan on anything past the capture of Saddam and the delusion of the possibility of seizing Iraqi oil. We don't have the oil. The power vacuum stared there, in 2003. It could only be spread by taking out obl, which dubyah kinda forgot about. That had to be done. That happened in 2011, 3 years after dubyah left. Now down the two different types of heavies, someone else stepped up but not what anybody expected. The situation there is far too fluid and the lines on maps only mean anything to Arab Nations at war with each other. Had we just gone after obl, we wouldn't have this problem. Saddam didn't take kindly to any other country, Arab or not, in Iraq. When a dam is destabilized a flood is imminent. Now its flooding. Obama couldn't undo everything that happened between 2002-2008. Comparing this to WWII Japan and Germany borders on insane. For one they were allies, two they were formal military powers and they didn't have cell phones and internet. The reason you don't understand the generals opinion is because it's not something that began when Obama was in office. Failing to admit who puttthe first forces there is the root of your misunderstanding. Start there.
Oh btw, the 9 Supreme Court Justices don't belong to any political party. They serve for life and are only appointed when one dies or steps down for medical reasons.

Well I laughed my a$$ off when the White House press secretary commented that no one in America is above the law including the President. We all have to follow the law.

Wow. Really? So how come Hillary is still out on the street? Eric Holder for Fast and Furious? Lois Lerner for IRS-gate? All the underlings who were complicit in helping to hide documents/behaviors/audio/video of numerous suspected transgressions?

Obama should be in jail for treason by supplying weapons to ISIS, and former general Patraeus for suggesting publicly that the U.S. arm al-Qaeda so that THEY can beat ISIS?

These are not quibbling around the edges of political philosophy and trying to smear someone, this is the government being complicit in providing deadly weapons to drug cartels and terrorists. This is a government employee deciding that political opponents do not deserve the benefits of the tax code her own party utilizes, and attempts to affect the outcomes of elections in the process. It's about directing others to engage in this behavior as well, and lie about it.

So before the government wants to publicly berate a single woman (war against Christian women anyone?) for exercising her belief system, maybe it should clean up it's act first?

a truly 'equal' right has no qualifiers

I believe relatives still have no 'right' to marriage, so marriage has simply been redefined to include same sex, but not made an 'equal right' for all citizens at all

she should not have the power to deny a legal document, but she should be able to choose what her name goes onto if it conflicts with her religious values and if that documents nature has changed,,,

in any case, people have been willing to break 'laws' before to stand up for a principle,,,sometimes if enough people do, others take note and amend or at least compromise

sometimes they don't

I have a feeling the LGBT community has too much power for the latter to be the case here, but I respect a fellow Christian for not wishing to take part in participating in signing her name, and therefore her consent to, that particular 'contractual' agreement..

she will not have this job when she is done, but she will earn enough respect to have another waiting somewhere

this will happen, everything that changes will be changed in the name of not allowing 'religion' to rule our laws

I have accepted that knowledge at this point,,,but respect those strong enough not to live in it or of it,,, themselves,,,

a truly 'equal' right has no qualifiers

I believe relatives still have no 'right' to marriage, so marriage has simply been redefined to include same sex, but not made an 'equal right' for all citizens at all

--- The opposite is true and I'll tell you why.
'Rights' without qualifiers, as proven by several Supreme Court rulings have pointed out, lead only to lawlessness and inequality. 'We the People' applied to all citizens but certain rights were limited to protect the People from a dictatorship such as checks and balances. If the President wants to declare war on Uruguay but the people don't and the congress has no interest or cause to declare war, 1 PERSON cannot declare war. 2 PEOPLE can't. It has to be ratified in the house and the senate. If our next President has a grudge with a drug Lord or cartel there he or she can't make a decision that applies to everyone.

Now, replace the drug cartel for the Pope and his country, the Vatican. In short RELIGION. Let's say the new Pres is Baptist and wants to take out the Pope and the Vatican. The military would have to go through Italy to get to the Vatican. This would obviously be troubling to military and civilians who are Catholic. Pres would be ORDERING ( a legal written order) them to wipe out their own religion. BUT... They would be denied their freedom of religion in the process. This would be terrible. Dissention, desertion, treason, mayhem, martial law, assassination attempts, succession, possible civil war 2.0, possible anarchy and total destruction. This is why our Clerks and magistrates ALONE do not have the LEGAL AUTHORITY to deny LEGAL action for RELIGIOUS reasons. LEGAL. procedure takes place in a LEGAL capacity in a LEGAL facility. It's not religious. It's not non religious. It's LEGAL, and sad that there has to be qualifiers for those rights to be protected and recognized by the State LEGALLY (not condoned religiously) but the qualifiers ensure that the States recognize these HUMAN BEINGS as such and do not allow any Clerk Judge or Magistrates to discriminate against them for their PERSONAL RELIGIOUS beliefs.

Churches who wish to deny to do Religious ceremonies are not affected. They differ from one denomination to the next their acceptance of polygamy, divorce..... None of that has changed.

Note: even people who have a ceremony in a church temple, home, other location performed by a religious authority is not recognized LEGALLY by the State unless they are issued a Marriage License, a LEGAL document.

How come every Civilized Country in the civilized world are trying to do something to help these refugees, YET the ARAB states have closed borders..
They are rich as hell and are coming across as selfish pigs.
Poor Greece... I mean, they are broke, their shores are dead with refugees, - how can they support them?
Western and European governments should put pressure on them (ARAB STATES) to open their borders, or (better yet) their purses..

Has anyone here ever read about the Rothschilds?
Keep em fighting, and ignorant, create and support chaos..

Their borders aren't exactly closed. On paper, possibly but not in reality. If they were, they wouldn't have been able to migrate through several Arab nations as well as several non Arab nations. It's also a myth that "Arabs are wealthy" . There is great disparities between rulers, clergy, 'royalty'... I have seen with my own eyes absolute squalor in many places in Iraq. In Iraq in particular the difference between Sunni and Shiite areas was visible from 5 miles away, if there wasn't a sand storm.

Once upon a time,
it was thought,
that cops were trained
to be deadly accurate
With their service weapons.

"Spray and pray", shows a reckless
and deliberate wanton disregard for public safety.

That an innocent bystander was killed
due to the officer's very deliberate actions... The officer should be criminally charged, and serve a lengthy prison sentence (in general population).

i almost agree, but i think the blame should fall on the criminal he was trying to arrest... he's the one that should be charged in that mans death, and the cop should get some sort of punishment, at least for reckless endangerment...

If you or I, fired a weapon into a crowd, and killed someone accidentally.
We, would get a one-way ticket to Huntsville.

The cop, should get some prison time,
and never, ever be allowed to own, possess, or even be in the presence of firearms, and/or live ammunition.
... seein's how, he's proven himself to be a life threatening danger, to the general public.

As to the original suspect...
I hope that moron bled out.

You're right about the crowd and the cop. I hope he has to answer for Felix' death and is subject to law accordingly. Something tells me his punishment will be minimal.
As for the original suspect I hope he gets the maximum sentence and serves every second for illegal arms dealing. The robber will likely be the most heavily sentenced out of the three.

passive resistance has changed many things

I respect her stand and her values, I believe she is being made an example of (judges have options in their decisions, there is rarely a one size fits all that a Judge HAS to hand down)

I too believe it unrealistic and kind of asinine to tell people for any reason who have worked honestly in a position that pays their bills that if something changes they should just 'quit',,,

both sides stood their ground, the female has less power than the judge or the current laws,, but in numbers, sometimes laws can be adjusted,,,,

a lesson well learned from the droves of same sex supporters who had marriage redefined

or the legions of human and decent people who fought for slaves to be treated in the law as something more than just property,,,,

I don't think that 'same sex supporters redefined marriage'.
I know the Supreme Court amended a LEGAL law for LEGAL purposes to provide EQUAL RIGHTS to HUMANS who are tax paying citizens.
I don't think the 'woman has less power than the judge or current laws'.
I know the Elected official purposely denied to produce a LEGAL document for RELIGIOUS reasons which was made quite clear to her was ILLEGAL. It's not about it being a woman. Several male magistrates have stepped down before this happened because they understood that their RELIGIOUS beliefs do not overrule their LEGAL obligation to their constituents. She does not have LEGAL AUTHORITY to deny anyone LEGAL documents for RELIGIOUS reasons.
It's not about sex, it's not about power. It's about LEGAL AUTHORITY.
No County Clerks have LEGAL AUTHORITY to tell the UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT to stuff it, not for PERSONAL RELIGIOUS beliefs or any other reason.

I note that for many of you the solution seems to be "Well if she doesn't like it she should quit." is your mantra. Well a couple of points.

1) The clerks position, and handing out marriages licenses was taking place looong before the decision by the Supreme Court. So arguably, she can say her job description has changed, and she doesn't like the change. Let's say next week your boss comes to you and says you are now doing the work of another employee plus your own for no increase in pay or benefits. Don't like it? Think it's unfair to you? Then live your opinion, and just quit your job the next day. Explain to the bank taking back your car and house in 4 months how you are making a statement.
2) Much has been made that she can't just claim her belief system as justification for denying people service, and how she needs to just suck it up and do it. Ok, no problem. YOU own a coffee shop. You notice the same group of 4-5 guys come in every Saturday morning and talk about their fantasy of molesting kids. Seems they belong to NAMBLA, an organization that believes men and underage boys should be allowed romantic relationships without fear of legal or moral punishment. This is a 10 out of 10 on the 'ewww gross' scale. The law says people can talk about whatever they want. Free speech right? However the conversations are offensive to your staff and surrounding customers. You gonna ask them to leave and not come back because the conversation is morally offensive to you and others? Can you in good faith continue to provide them a place to meet and by doing so tacitly encourage their conversations and behaviors? Your moral compass has no right to decide to whom you will provide your services?
3) Same problem again, if you owned the infamous 'Christian bakery' and a pedophile comes in wanting you to bake a cake saying "Molest Kids!". You gonna say 'Nope. Sorry. That's where I draw the line.'? Go ahead, have a conscience, but based on recent legal case law, be prepared to lay out a 6 figure settlement cheque, because you don't get to refuse anyone, anymore.

I'm not saying I agree with her defying the court, however there's no provision for her supervisor to step in? Appoint another employee the duty of handling the 'gay people'? What happens when she's sick or goes on vacation? Do they just stop handing out licenses until she comes back to the office? I'm sure some other arrangement could have been made instead of forcing her to go to jail for her beliefs.

Funny though how we have to conform to other religious beliefs in the workplace. Some companies prohibit ham sandwiches or other pork products so as not to offend Muslims or Jews on staff. Many companies provide rooms in offices for Muslim prayer. Funny how they are referred to as multi-faith rooms, like anyone can go at any time and pray. Since Christian faiths don't have a 5 times a day rule like Islam, can you really tell your boss you want 5 prayer breaks a day for Jesus? We have companies that must allow hijabs and burkas in the workplace, regardless if they present a safety hazard. So a Muslim woman working a machine with exposed running gear can wear her hijab even though it might strangle her if it gets caught.

We've had cases in Canada where Sikhs didn't want to wear motorcycle helmets over their headgear. Where they didn't want to wear helmets during military training on a grenade range. Where they insisted they be allowed to carry knives called kirpans since it is used to defend their religion from those who would insult it or them. Our police departments came up with colour co-ordinated turbans for those wanting to serve. So the blue turban for being in uniform, and the white one for working undercover?

In the end I applaud this woman for living her morals and values, even though it has cost her some freedom. How this comes to a conclusion for her (and other Christians) is going to be interesting.

1 This has been in legal action for a few years. At least over a year ago Magistrates that perform the ceremonies have been ordered to step down for refusing to perform their LEGAL duties. She had plenty of time to request an alternative solution that didn't infringe on anyone else's rights. No one is LEGALLY required to adhere to her RELIGIOUS beliefs.
2 Discussion of criminal activities that are offensive and actually posing a danger to children is very different from peacefully seeking a supreme court compelled LEGAL document which it was the clerks LEGAL duty to provide.

† the couples were not seeking RELIGIOUS action or practice.
* the couples were seeking a LEGAL document.
? the clerk refused to perform her LEGAL duty of her Public Office for a RELIGIOUS reason. She must have forgotten the \\Separation of Church and State// being part of why the U.S. broke ties with England declaring US as a new Nation.
* the U.S. Supreme Court made quite clear that she was breaking the law in a public office by imposing her RELIGIOUS beliefs in a LEGAL process in a LEGAL capacity and issued a LEGAL order she CHOSE to disobey.
* she broke the law anyway. Openly defiant to the highest Court as an elected public servant operating in an ILLEGAL capacity in the public spolight.

It's not a low blow, it was a haymaker. Agonists have the same first amendment rights as supporters don't they? Being a millionaire or a billionaire, yourself and your staff are subject tothe same laws, are they not? Sure, protesters can muck up a publicity event but as long as they are not trespassing and not being violent they have the freedom to assemble don't they? So if someone assaulted someone on State or city property and it was recorded on video (during a Presidential primary campaign) that would be admissible as evidence in a court of law right? Legally speaking.

Very sad day, when even a peace officer isn't safe at home.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and fellow officers.

Usually just one outside agency would conduce the investigation unless something much larger is possibly going on.

i don't think they murdered him, but had something directly to do with his death... the bond was only 500,000 dollars, for killing a cop?

$500K isn't a lot of money? For an alleged meth dealer/trafficker maybe not.

Still 10X the bail for the mistrial of Randall Kerrick, for shooting the unarmed victim of a car accident 10X who believed the police were there to help him.

I respect this woman's desire to stand up for her convictions, but she should have just quit. I wouldn't work at a meat factory where they butcher animals, and she shouldn't work for the clerk's office where she is required to give licenses for gay marriages. Leaving her job is the only legal (and imo honorable) way for her to stay true to her convictions.

Actually her lawyers offered a compromise, her name being removed from the marriage certificate. I love how almost all of the mainstream media ignore that one big point.

Was this offer rejected by the opposite side, or by the judge? It sounded to me like the judge was being needlessly heavy handed. I honestly don't know if such certificates would be equally valid, or if she would be properly executing her duties under that kind of compromise.

The judge.

Seems like maybe this judge took personal offense at some things, and might not have been interested in a reasonable compromise.

Judges don't get to do anything they want to or only what they believe in. When a new law is passed, or an old law is amended, they have to rule based on those LEGAL State or FEDERAL laws
depending on what court they are in or what case is presented. County courts can't make Federal rulings. The charges are divided and remanded to the appropriate court. Federal courts and specifically the U.S. Supreme Court can abolish State laws IF they are found to be unconstitutional. They did so Nationwide, not just in Rowan county KY. She objected for religious reasons, her position is not religious nor is the document it is her elected duty to produce. The Supreme Court compelled her to comply with Federal law, she refused knowing the penalty. They gave her an opportunity to step down if she couldn't bring herself to perform her LEGAL obligatory duty to her constituents for RELIGIOUS reasons. She CHOSE not to compromise. The citizens wishing to pay for the production of a LEGAL document didn't ask for her to be held in contempt or jailed. When one openly defies a judges orders, those are the LEGAL consequences.

If you're not prepared to follow the rules and laws of your city and country, you shouldn't apply for a job at the community hall. If you want to take the rules of your religion over all other rules in the world, including those of your country, your town and those of other people, you should be a clerk in your own church and nowhere else. Who has the right of inflicting his own religious dogmas on other people? Nobody.
Is America a Protestant dictatorship, like the England of Cromwell? Your constitution is based on the accomplishments of the French Revolution: well, people like this clerk apparently don't know, or simply don't know it includes freedom, equality for all. (this includes freedom of faith, right? Why should the rules of one religion be imposed on everybody? It's totally contradictory to all the American Constitution stands for. I guess this person and all her fans have totally forgotten that.

I agree. For whatever reason she didn't do her job. Putting her in prison seems a bit harsh....to me.

To my understanding she didn't just 'apply' for her position, she was elected. Elected officials don't get to refuse service to people religious or not that don't theologically align with their FREELY CHOSEN religion. If the citizens obey State and Federal laws, they cannot be denied their Constitutional Rights. Seeing as how the United States Supreme Court ruled that same sex marriages do not apply for religious exception for officials who are serving the State which as part of the drafting of our Constitution is SEPARATE from their church, temple, etc... the only thing that has changed here is that the States are being held to the Constitution under which they were founded. I don't agree with same sex marriage personally but nor do I believe in Hinduism. That doesn't give me or any elected official the power to deny a marriage to a person of that religion that is a citizen trying to conform to LEGAL marriage status as REQUIRED by State Law.
It was not her duty to blaspheme specifically. It was not her duty to preform the CEREMONY at all. The Magistrates perform the actual ceremony. It WAS her duty to produce a LEGAL (under State law) DOCUMENT.
I think she is entitled to HER opinion, but I think it's pretty safe to say that the State of Kentucky and the county she served didnot elect her under God's authority. The audacity to denounce Supreme Court ruled processing of marriage LICENSES from behind bars.... I'd say she's stoking the fire under the cauldron she CHOSE to crawl into, not the judge. Terrorist organizations claim to act under the authority of their God(s)

13 CURRENT AND FORMER NORTH CAROLINA AND VIRGINIA LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS INDICTED

North Carolina and Virginia law enforcement officers are accused of protecting illegal drugshipments along the East Coast

Friday, May 01,2015

RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) --

a news conference Wednesday that 13 current and former law enforcement officers are accused of protecting cocaine and heroin shipments along the East Coast.

All were arrested Wednesday morning after a two-year undercover investigation called "Operation Rockfish".

"Corruption in local government - especially involving law enforcement - threatens the social compact that binds our communities together," said Assistant Attorney General Caldwell in a statement.

In addition to the 13, two more civilians are also charged with conspiring to distribute controlled substances and conspiring to use and carry firearms during and in relation to drug trafficking offenses.

Let it be said that ^ these are 'bad apples' and not a representative of public servants or law officials as a whole. This is however direct evidence of how these drugs get from the source outside the U.S. to the dealers and end users. This is ONE of those channels I spoke about in other threads that are set up operated and maintained to provide specific 'commodities' to specific 'destinations'.

About those unAmerican drugs... A recent sting operation found 13 (a relatively small number) of law enforcement agents involved in a heroin and cocaine smuggling ring throughout the east coast. More to come.

Thanks Don.
So we have illegal guns loaded with illegal ammunition in the hands of teens, predominantly sharing territory with illegal drugs that do not originate in the United States but somehow what find their way in mass quantities to low income low business presence high population of black hispanic and other immigrants because it is the only place they can afford to live and the education in these areas is far below the bar.
This cannot happen by accident. Black conscious musicians have been telling us this since the 70's just not to the extent of what we SEE and KNOW today.

They can't grow process or import the drugs. They recieve outside help.

They can't buy ship or traffic the guns. They recieve outside help.

They can't use the guns without ammunition they can't buy legally. They recieve outside help.

The supply lines are not being cut. THEY recieve INSIDE help.
