I reckon that to be a real man it takes a couple things.

Chivalry
Discretion
and 'A Pair', as it were.

One must be kind and gentle, yet strong
They must know their options in a situation, and which will be appropriate.
They must also know when to stand up for what is right, whether it is the most desired, or conflict-free path.

That's my take on it, feel free to add in.

The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to be with the rest of their lives. The most interesting 35 year olds i know still dont.

When I have those kind of days, I find it best to grab a good book that you like, one that's sometimes uplifting or laugh out loud hilarious.

Check out Tom Robbins or Piers Anthony.

Look, I for one was not here to bash any god or religion. I don't agree with them in all their respects, but I believe in the message of brotherhood of man, and being the best damn you you can be.

I was speaking out against man's love for making up holidays and giving them false meaning.

Christmas, my friend of friends, is a christian holiday initially made only to cover up the winter solstice of those craaaaazy pagans.

And nowadays, it's another corporate holiday. I don't dismiss the birth of christ, and I don't say he was just a mortal man. But organized religion tends to screw these things up. Worship and appreciate the birth, death, and life of Christ everyday, or don't recognize it at all. There shouldn't be specialized days of recognition for these such things.

Girl, I don't have a problem with showing love. But if you're not giving your all every month, you're not living life to it's fullest. You, anyone, should expect the pinnacle of love all the time from your loved ones. Don't sell yourself short :)

that's crap.

Why is this the month of love? It's like, why is Sunday the holy day?

Every month, every day and second are a time of love. If you're going to do more this month than any other day, you're just half assing it the other eleven months.

So really, if you change for February, or Valentine's day, youre a chump.

I tend to keep people an arm's length away too. It's not really healthy, and I think it's related to social anxiety. If you can change it, more power to you. I'm working on it myself at the moment.

Honestly, I've been through many dating sites (This one is pretty damn decent) and Ive noticed that they usually feature train wrecks and perverts. I like my share of perversion and baggage, but there's a limit.

Meeting people through the internet just isn't natural. That's what they'll tell you. Would you tell someone you met your s/o through the internet? doubted, as it comes with such a negative connotation.

When it comes down to it, make friends through a site like this. That is all you can ask for. Friends are fine over the web, but real relationships have to be formed face to face.
