Look up sexual predators in your area (through your State Dept of Public Safety ). Review what the offenders did, how old the victims were and what sentence they recieved. You will be shocked!

Battle, you did not let me down. Alot of my friends are broken now and I understand YOUR frustration. My message was not geared towards you. One way you all can help is to register with ANYSOLDIER.COM and write these soldiers personal letters and send them little stuff like: ( females: toe nail polish, Bath and Body Works) ( Males: Axe body wash, etc.) Dvd's, Cd's and plenty of photos of you in your home state. Like, I loved it when my pen pal sent me photos of her near the lake, or playing with her dog. You don't see stuff like that in Iraq. Or, hey what about gift certificates to McDonalds. Walmart etc....Make sure they don't expire in 15 months....lol. ( $ 20 is fine ) Now, if soldiers ask you for big stuff like cars, stereos etc.... just ignore. They are abusing the pen pal system. There is a woman who just sent me letters ( she was probably 79 years old) and she kept me up to date with her personal life. I would get these letters from her at the worst times. But, it made me smile and kept me going for another month. I still write her. Her name is Connie and I love her!

I thank you for supporting us troops. I bet all of you have bumper stickers...lol. How bout' stop the war and bring us home? I love the Army, my Country and my Soldiers. I understand why we are in Afghanistan, but Iraq? 15 month tours? We love our families too.

I tried to kill myslef when I returned. My friend shot herself in the head at Camp Taji too. I knew of others that killed themselves. And I know many of my battles who are suicidal now. Something is wrong. None of are or were mentally ill before this last tour ( this was my second ). I ran marathons, skydived, have a family and etc. My friend was a devout Christian. You could not even curse around her...lol. Go figure. We are all messed up now. But, me and my battles who feel suicidal are trying to help one another understand what is going on and we are trying to live and be happy. Please don't call us mentally ill. I know you did not mean to be offensive but it is hurtful. Join the military. I like it when people say " I support the troops." Really? Oh, you must have a bumper sticker....lol. I thought my oldest would be beautiful...but she got fat...but I love her to death. The youngest looked just like E.T until she was two years old. She turned out beautiful at 15. Hey, I just looked in the mirror and I am fugly too. Remember, everyone is pretty to someone. Love them for who they are. Looks fade.

By the way, all that crap about crying is good for a baby is not always true. It is their way of letting you know that something needs to be fixed. Such as: diapers, food, liquid, gas etc. Don't spoil the child, but make sure there is nothing wrong.

Oh, my daughter ( now 20 ) had gas really bad and the both of us were miserable. I found the cure! Give your baby a 1/2 cup of warm tea ( sweetened ). Tea makes you crap and the gas goes away. That pink medicine does not work! A spanish lady taught me that one. I asked the doctor about the health risks and he said " It won't hurt the child. If the child is not in pain that is all that matters." I used the McCormick brand...I am not sure if that is the proper spelling. Good luck!

Get the kid a small puppy to care for. Make sure it is not a pit bull, etc... Some Moms/Dads just suck.When the child is old enough he can make his own decision about seeing his other parent. It should not be difficult for a child to have a relationhip with his parent. But, hey that's alright. When that young man has children and all of a sudden daddy wants to be Granpa...tell him granpas were fathers first. The same goes for Moms.
