A very reverant Memorial Day to all. I hear and read all sorts of poo poo about impeaching Bush for this, that, or other. Do any of you scholars know what impeachment is--don't head to Google--not fair. I'm going by what I remember in Gov. class. Impeachment, I believe, is a formal indictment for breaking a law! No US President that I know of has EVER been impeached. Andrew Johnson was aquitted for whatever he did. Nixon got out before proceedings were to begin about his lying about his role in the Watergate cover-up. Clinton was quitted for his role in lying under oath about messin' with Monica. Hell, I don't blame him. Married to Hillary, I'd have lied to God. What happens after impeachment. Do you go to prison? Do you go to hell? Look it up for me as I'm lazy. Impeach Bush! For What??!! Making serious mistakes? Lying under oath befor a senate committee? Tell me what I'm seeing wrong here. Oh, by the way, Richard Nixon will go down in history as one of our greatest leaders. Even if he was an AH, he got us out of Vietnam with a shred of dignity and open up negotions with China, who would liked to have seen us fall off the face of the earth for some reason.

yes but we are all not entrusted with the most powerful country in the "free world". He is paid to not be stupid, and surround himself with other people who are not stupid. Seems like we just trusted the travelling circus with our lifes, liberty, and well being. How about we start a list;
Handing out no bod contracts (theft)
Robbing the Social Security fund (theft)
Sending troops into battle without proper equipment (negligence)
Not securing an occuppied territory leading to death, misery, and murder (accessory to murder, assault, rape)
Sugar coating reality (falsifying information)

Ok, you win, maybe. BUT I don't nor have I researched any of the above crimes to see if they are within the powers of the Pres. I'd hate to get into the secrets of any of our past leaders. We'd probably find worse. However, we, as American, are still here despite $3.89 a gallon for gas.

it's not just bush sushi, it is every professional politician out there. What we need is a person who does NOT WANT that power, until then we will just have more of the same. Republican or Democrat, they are all cut frome the same cloth. ELitists who desire nothing more than to fulfill their own twisted agenda on the backs of the people. We are quickly moving to a 2 class society, then people will see the true measure of what has been at work for years. I need to stop, these topics get me so depressed. Open your eyes people, no good will ever come from our two party system, or a world run by the rich and elite FOR the rich and elite. You think any one of those windbags up there give two pickles about your well being?

I believe there are a lot of real crimes that Bush could be impeached for. Proving them might not even be all that difficult.

But how easy is it to collect and present evidence against the President of the United States? He has his supporters who have all the money and power to protect him even without him knowing it. Hence people could die, evidence can disappear.

Connecting the dots that lead back to Bush may be impossible and finding people to do it even more impossible if threats are made, bribes are accepted.

On the other hand, if the powers that be decide they want a President out of the picture, trust me, they can do it. Lincoln and Kennedy come to mind. Don't fool yourself, who was behind that. Assassinations are not done by lone gunmen. If you believe that you could be wearing rose colored glasses.

Sushi,

Thank you. You are the first one I have heard/read the good that Richard M. Nixon actually did for our country. Thanks to President Nixon, my husband came home (from his 2nd Naval Tour in Viet Nam) all in one piece (hmmm, maybe I need to think that one over, we ended up in a violent divorce.) P.S. I won.

alot of people do wear rose colored glasses and that is just one of the problembs our country faces, many choose willingly to live in denial and when confronted with the obviouse truth revert to some type of childish faith based logic

Thanks Lindyy, Same happened to me. I really didn't want him dead, but I sure didn't want to have to fight for war widow benefits either.

Wow! Where did you peple get yer lernins from?...lol. As much as I disagree with President Bush last time I checked one man does not make the final decision. If you think, both, Republican and Democrats are not lining their pockets with money through private contracts during this war you are completely nieve.Oh, and happy Memorials Day.
