While life is tough and can get you down, I highly recommend following the philosophy of stoicism. It is a healthy and mature way to look at life. I myself have always been a stoic, but more so with age, and didn't really have a name for it until my twenties. Look it up on YouTube or at your public library when you've a chance.

Thank you for your comment. I am in a good place  Last week was hell and I am expressive/vent here, but onwards and upwards.
Welcome...:sunflower:

You forgot the Russian way...

If you have a low alcohol tolerance, pickles can save you. Every truly Russian table offers you a choice of pickles for snacks: pickled cucumbers are the most popular, but they also like tomatoes, mushrooms, pumpkins, etc. They go especially well with vodka: spices and salt soften it and improve the taste. Brine from the pickles is also a popular hangover cure — yucky and absolutely magical.

If we ever found ourselves in similar circumstances, we could only hope to have the same moral courage and principles that Julian Assange has shown.

Still people ask
Is he a hero or villain?

not really.it is said sex is healthy, which means if u are not having sex then ure missing out in terms of health

Sex is sex. Making love is better.
If you are a virgin, why not keep your virginity for someone you care about?
I had a friend ask me the same thing. I advised her to wait.
Hell, I can be celibate for over 10 years and it was not 'unhealthy' for me. To the contrary, I protected my mind, my emotions and my body from unhealthy associations.
I seriously do not believe being a virgin is unhealthy. I believe it is healthy. You are not vulnerable to std's, pregnancy and wayward emotions to those who only want sex with you, but nothing else.
Ask yourself, why do you not prize your virginity and give it to a relationship where love reigns?
Take care of yourself, educate yourself, get informed and good on you for your courage in asking.

Mingling apprehensively.
Feeling vulnerable, but you make me smile and give me strength.

I think I will write for you... vulnerably.

Evil? Are you sure you are not using your own words?
Show me the scripture where the word evil is used?

You want a virgin?

God is about family, should a person make a mistake and have sex outside of marriage, I doubt He would consider it evil.

Maturity in faith does not judge. It has grace.
God is about conviction, not condemnation.

Hmmm. Your post is very 'religous', without love for your fellow man/woman.
Marriage needs gentleness, understanding and maturity. What do you have to offer a woman, besides staunch scripture? Does she also have to be subservient to you? I am sure you could prove that with a few Bible bashing verses, without love.

The US that is who. I thought that was clear in my statement.
Sorry that I appear to have been wrong.

Thank you for clarifying that.
I guess there are many who will play the Devil's Advocate, (not you).
I personally am concerned. No one was accountable for his major leak. If I was Private Manning, I would have done exactly the same thing...

I think it's complicated.

Not all secrets should be revealed, and even more complex, is that the way some secrets are revealed can cause more trouble than is solved.

Although I very much want those in positions of power to be held accountable for their actions, and I have been pleased more than concerned about many instances of "leaks," I have seen as well, how "leaks" can be used to lie using the truth, or can be done so sloppily that great harm is done.

Regardless of whether you want to believe that Trump won the Presidency due to wikileaks, it is a fact that Assange eagerly and blindly allowed himself to be used by the Russians to promote their interests at the expense of the United States as well as many other European nations. This is similar to how other leakers allowed the Bush administration to use them to endanger an American (Valerie Plame) in order to serve the goals of the Republican Party, at America's expense.

As with so many things, the business of "speaking truth" by leaking information isn't a universally heroic act. And Assange in particular appears to me to be dedicated to his own ego, and not to truth or justice.

I disagree. Julian did not know he was being used by the Russians, his source was virtually anonymous. Yes, he was being played... and I disagree he is dedicated to his own ego. If he was, he would of revealed his sources, but he takes immense harm to himself in protecting his sources.
No great harm was done by the leaking of the Collateral Damage of the Iran video.
You need to weigh this situation, here and now, not compare it to the past.
The future of leaks and journalism is riding on what happens to Julian Assange.
The message is loud and clear.
Do we fear authority or do we tell the truth....?

I disagree that he is a terrorist. What is your definition of a terrorist?

Any person, agency, or government that through action or inaction causes harm to personal or a public body. (According to the USA)

This includes News agencies, press correspondents and those whom tell only the partial truth. Freedom of press is fine and should be a legal right in all countries. Only then can we see the people elected or not, that dish out lies to sway the public opinion for the gain of money or power.

Is it right when a reporter withholds a story, or word smiths it to the point that it is in his best interest? Is that the truth then. Write the story with the slant toward your opinion?

What he did was a terrorist act as defined in this country. He is just the first step in the link of many failures. The ones that condoned his actions by providing the information I feel are more guilty.

Governments all over the world try to suppress the truth to CYA so to speak. They basically just want to stay in power.

Furthermore since the crime did not occur in the US, they should not have jurisdiction.

There is no evidence anyone has been harmed, besides Hillary Clinton loosing the last election because of Wikileaks. In fact Trump benefited by WikiLeaks.
So why is the USA trying to extradite him in your opinion?
Brandon\Chelsea Manning paid the price, so why go after Julian?

True there is no evidence that we are aware of.
The reason why is because someone got burr up their south end.

So this takes us back to the four basic human emotions. The emotion in this instance is Anger. Basically when an event or an act that happens to you and you want to change it you become angry and take action. This action is based on your beliefs about the consequences of the act/event that has happened to you. H+E = B

IMHO they are just being the egotistical egotist that they are. Grubbing for power in any way they can. (Better than saying they got their shorts in a wad).

Who? Julian or Trump? Because this is now who it is about and the UK playing lackey.

The higher powers who are against Julian need to be accountable...
He has aged so much in such a short period of time. 100 doctors have written they do not think he is going to survive.
He is compared to Joan of Arc, a true 'terrorist'.

A group of over 100 doctors on Monday urged the Australian government to end its "refusal to act" in the case of Julian Assange and insist the British government release the WikiLeaks founder from prison so he can be safely sent to an Australian hospital before "it is too late."

In an open letter addressed to Foreign Minister Marise Payne, the doctors say that "the most fundamental human rights of an Australian citizen are being denied by the British government."

The international medical experts, who hail from countries including the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, called upon Payne to abide by his "undeniable legal obligation to protect your citizen against the abuse of his fundamental human rights, stemming from U.S. efforts to extradite Mr. Assange for journalism and publishing that exposed U.S. war crimes."

Assange has been in London's Belmarsh prison since April for skipping bail seven years ago when he first took refuge at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. He's facing possible extradition to the United States for alleged violations of the Espionage Act. His time at the embassy and at Belmarsh had led to "medical neglect and fragile health," the doctors said, adding that Assange continues to suffer psychological torture at the London jail.

It's not the first time the medical group has sounded alarm on Assange's deteriorating health conditions.

In a letter sent last month to British Home Secretary Priti Patel and Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott, the group expressed "real concerns, on the evidence currently available, that Mr. Assange could die in prison." U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture Nils Melzer has also accused the U.K. government of "outright contempt for Mr. Assange's rights and integrity." In May Melzer said Assange exhibited "all symptoms typical for prolonged exposure to psychological torture."

The doctors referenced Melzer's concerns as well as their letter to the U.K. authorities, saying that document fell on deaf ears.

In addendum to the new letter, the doctors wrote that Assange is essentially stuck waiting "helplessly for whatever the U.S government holds in store for him"—a situation "akin to keeping someone bound and gagged while their assailant stands by sharpening their knives."

"The Australian government has shamefully been complicit by its refusal to act, over many years. Should Mr. Assange die in a British prison, people will want to know what you, Minister, did to prevent his death."

Ongoing detention at Belmarsh, the group said, is "medically reckless at best and deliberately harmful at worst."

"We therefore urge you to insist upon the immediate transfer of Mr. Assange from Belmarsh Prison to an Australian university teaching hospital, on urgent medical grounds, so that he can receive the assessment and treatment that he requires," the doctors wrote. They added:

That we, as doctors, feel ethically compelled to hold governments to account on medical grounds speaks volumes about the gravity of the medical, ethical, and human rights travesties that are taking place. It is an extremely serious matter for an Australian citizen's survival to be endangered by a foreign government obstructing his human right to health. It is an even more serious matter for that citizen's own government to refuse to intervene, against historical precedent and numerous converging lines of medical advice.
Assange is set to face another case management hearing this week Westminster Magistrates' Court and full extradition hearing in February.

Julian is strong, so strong he will not tell his own father what is truly happening to him, because he does not want him to 'worry'.
I am worried. What have they done to him and are doing to him.
