Most of them didnt march carrying flags of their previous country either! The came here to be Americans, possibly even americans of Irish ancestory, but not Irish people living in American.

My great grandmother on my mothers side was first generation and my ex wife was a naturalized citizen. They all believed and weanted to be Americans, not something else. I served in Iraq with two soldiers from the Phillipines. They joined the Ameican Army to be elegible to be Amercians. I also am serving now with American, who was born in Mexico City, immigrated here and naturalized. He is an American not a Mexican living in America. None of these people marched with flags from another country demanding rights in this one. I know what Im talking about.

Its kind of sad when McDonalds has become Dinner and a Movie.

All my ancestors are Amercicans. The second they stepped foot in this country thats what they became. I belive if you re read my post with an open mind, specifically "regardless of ethnic origins" you will understand my point more fully.

Im 39 and I say "whats up?" all the time. I would never say "what up", but I do leave off letters or spell phonetically when I text all the time just because of space. I figure if I can get my point across it met its purpose. I think you definitely over reacted!

Why the second thoughts now? Seems there is much mroe to this than meets the eye. First the kiss off for an apparently meaningless violation of grammer, then subsequent second thoughts several days later.

I have a unique idea. How about next time talking to him about it first! Im sure it would have saved you both some hurt feelings, confusion and heart ache, not to mention the rest of us many key strokes, LOL.

PS: Happy crappy Thursday. We should make this an official Holiday or something. What should we call it? Maybe somethign that starts with a "V". How about Vacancy day!

Thats not entirely true. Their are some benefits that illegals and legals can recieve regardless of how long they ahve been here. Also, welfare, as are many other social programs funded by federal tax dollars, are administered by states. The states have various requirments regarding elegibility.

I agree though, immigration is a huge problem in this countnry in its own right. We dont need missinformation clouding the issues. I will say that if the illigal and legal Mexican immigrants wanted me to support them more they would have marched with Amercian flags, not Mexican or any other country.

I welcome future Americans to Immigrate to my wonderfull country. There is even a legal way to do it, albeit, seriously screwed up and in need of an overhaul. With that said though, I have no desire to fill my country with with Mexicans, Germans, or any other nationality. Just Americans, regardless of ethnic origins.

Oh, Valentines Day, so that explains why Thursday sucks!

Hey Girls do that too. I e-mail people who seem interesting all the time, just friendly like, and often get no response. Not a big deal, not everybody wants to be my friend. I dont lose sleep over it or anything. Just becasue I wrote them doent obligate them to respond.
