I think that people shouldn't be SO critical... If you're talking to someone for a while and then forget about them, then YES you have a point.. If you talk to them a time or two and forget, I don't think it's horrible or unforgiving... And YES, I've done it... I don't think it's DISTURBING that I linked those things together in forgetting... I NEVER said "I think of dates like I do paying my bills or picking up my dry cleaning".. I said "I get caught up in my work and forget things... Some people just get very busy and regardless of how busy see my first paragraph.. Unless someone has NOTHING else to do but wait to go on a date, I'd say it's normal to get busy and forget... Not ALL people normal but it can happen... Maybe you two should get together, then you can both forget you have a date with each other!! The perfect date!!

I think it was just a precaution...
She wanted to make sure he wasn't crazy. 
If she still does it after a few conversations- then I would have issues and just NOT answer the phone. If they ask why I didn't answer I would respond "I don't accept blocked calls- might be scammers"

How important could she possibly  be to you if you FORGOT about her completely?
People forget about other people everyday Hearts get broken everyday too We make mistakes , it is HUMAN Are you kidding? "people forget about other people everyday?" ...since when? I'm not sure how it works for you BUT people of genuine "importance" are NEVER forgotten. No they weren't kidding people do forget, people get caught up and involved THAT IS LIFE... That is the life of people/professionals, etc. Does that make others less important? Well, were I married and forgetting about my husband I'd say um yeah I'm a jerk.. But people I don't know, a first meeting? Pretty easy to forget when I get caught up in work... Hell, I forget to pay bills, get gas, pick up dry cleaning... You'll say "not human, so what! or you're forgetful" neither would be accurate. I have a stressful job with a lot of responsibilities and I put most of my energy into that job b/c it's my career and someone that is a "first time meeting" might get forgotten if I get busy at work.. Forgetting doesn't make people less important unless they are supposed to be THAT important i.e. children, family, spouses... And (((Sea))) you sounded sincere, she's a good woman to understand that, if she didn't then she wouldn't be worth the time of the apology... OK... Have you ever forgotten a date? 
I get that people get involved with their job and life (majority of the reason why people are single) BUT to "forget" about a first meeting?!?! That's the WHOLE excitement of it all. While at work- you’re looking forward to meeting this new and exciting individual; this person that has “awakened” your senses. The "niceness of the newness"- as I like to call it. 
If you actually FORGOT about meeting the person that captured your "interest" in the first place, you've got no business dating. Seems to me that they are pretty set being alone and living their "busy and involved" lives. Who's to say you don’t have more dates set up all over your home town- Ya just forgot about them too...
The fact you would categorize Bills and people together is disturbing. 
Yes, there IS a difference. I believe he should get another chance -Just try being a bit more considerate next time. JMO

i once had a date, where i the woman i was dating, it turned out was not actually interested in me, but a friend of mine. if i had known it from the start, i would have set them up and kept myself out of it. Jon, can I ask how such a thing is possible?
