I have little patience with people who overuse acronyms. I don't mind lol used sparingly, or others such as brb or ttyl. But, when someone punctuates sentences with lol, it's a bit much. And when they abbreviate more words in a sentence than they actually type out? Way too much.

Then again, I'm one of the few who actually spells out words in text messages.


I always spell out words in text messages. As I said in a previous post, my own mother uses far more acronyms than I do.
