The issue of adult children and dependent children.... that is not even in the same ballpark. JMO

Co-dependent children & "parents"????

The best thing I ever did for my daughter was to "let go". What a good life she has and 3 wonderful grandkids for me..bigsmile

And she finally got rid of that "A"hole attorney she married..

I don't know maybe I see this in a different perspective because all my children are grown. I love my children beyond anything and will always be there for them if they need me. But I raised my children to be independant, self sufficient individuals. They are smart, and I respect thier decisions. So I would have no issue putting what would make me happy first. It doesn't mean I would cut my children out of my life, not at all. But children are meant to grow up and fly on thier own and parents should step back and just be a "safety" net.
Does this make me selfish? I don't think so. I love my children enough that I want them to follow thier dreams and they feel the same way about me. To put someone first doesn't mean I have to be in thier back pocket 24/7 location wise. Distance does not always equal neglect or being uncaring.

The best thing my parents did for me was to "let go"..

Several months ago, I had a discussion like this with a very dear friend. My friend is a man that has been married to his wife for nearly as long as I have been alive. Charlie said to me, "Patrick, a man will always suck hind tit when it comes to a woman and her children and that includes me"..

I know more than one woman that is single and unhappy. They are attached to their children at the hip and the "kids", are grown adults with kids of their own. One woman I know is so attached to her 25+ yo kids, she can only have an occasional fling.tears

little known fact;cruise control was invented by a stoner....

Actually, the first cruise control type device was invented by a man (Jerry D. Smith) in Indianapolis, IN around 1952. He had a company named I.D.E.A. Electronics..

Obviously, I will need to figure out the "quote" feature..frustrated

I am Pat, old & senile one from Sun (Sin) City, AZ.

Was here several months ago and another site also, spent most of my time on the other site but got bored and came back here.

There was a documentary on the History Channel about dope in the U.S., interesting.

Evolution has produced an element that has become clearly identifiable
in the past decade or two.

Recent hurricanes and gasoline issues are proof of the existence of a
new chemical element. Research has led to the discovery of the heaviest
element yet known to science.

The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant
neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving
it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which
are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called
peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it
can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes
into contact. A minute a mount of Governmentium can cause a re action
that would normally take less than a second to take from four days to
four years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2-6 years; It does not decay,
but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the
assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact,
Governmentium's Mass will actually increase over time, since each
reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming
isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists
to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a
critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as
critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an
element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has
half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Rejection has nothing to do with me, it has to do with the person doing the rejection. People reject others for various reasons. Many people on these dating sites have lives that are consumed with fear, anybody gets somewhat close and they run.

I would never take rejection personally, nor would I reject anyone. I will always state my opinions, my likes & my dislikes.
If someone does not like me, it really is none of my business or my problem. There are many people I do not like, I would not socialize with them. It does not give me the right to be disrespectful to them.
