what do we caring or not caring have to do with the drugs on the street? We didn't put them there... and we can't get them off. Of course we care about the kids of the future. The problem is that the kids don't always care bout themselves. We have systems that fail people at every chance. We have parents that don't care. And even when they do, there's so much influence out there... it's hard to just get by

It's because people will stop at nothing to get what they want, and others will take advantage of that desire to make money off of it.

Looking back at the prohibition of alcohol, we can see the same thing happening. The people wanted their alcohol, and the prohibition of it did not stop the consumption or sale of alcohol one bit. Instead, it just took all of it underground. What we saw were dangerous cocktails and the rise of organized crime.

As is the cliche, history repeats itself. We ban drugs that we deem unfit for society, society takes it underground, and from there we see a rise in organized crime.

You allow people to obtain the substances legally and you get rid of the organized crime. We saw the downfall of the original gangsters when we repealed prohibition. Organized crime can't last when people can get what they want legally.

Guns don't kill people. Bad people kill people. Give good people guns to defend themselves and crime will go down.

Drugs will never go away because our government doesn't want them to. Reasons are probably financial.

Guns don't kill people, but they sure do help! As for why drugs are around, yes, the governments do want them around. It is financial, as well as control. Think of it as thinning the herd. Keep the masses stoned and stupid, and the control is that much easier.

I personally think, if everyone was able to carry a sidearm and it was legal, crime would go down. Because your average joe would carry and the criminal would know and be less likely to cause damage or rob....jmo

The gun laws in California infuriate me. I was a cop for 13 years. I was able to carry a gun with me at all times. I practiced with it, took care of it and had to qualify with it regularly. When I resigned to stay home and have babies, all of a sudden I wasnt' allowed to carry one anymore. I still feel vulnerable and it's been 6 years.
