Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm having dinner at my grandson's house with family, only daughter in Colorado won't be with us...We are counting our blessings today as Melissa's (grandsons wife) grandparents are very ill. One has lung cancer(won't take treatments) and the other has Alzheimers real bad..They may not be with us next year..

I made peanut butter fudge at the request of my grandsons..lol

So very sorry to hear about your sister Jayne...Prayers for your sister and all the family..hugs

Just south of Canton, Ohio...12 degrees this morning with 5-6" of snow on the ground...brrrr

Morning everyone

We have about 4 inches of snow here, maybe a little more this morning. Not as cold now.

My eye surgery went well and I have no bruising at all and swelling is minimal..Need to keep ice on 15 min and off 15.

Feeling a little sad as I lost a dear and long time friend Sunday night.. Bless his heart, he struggled long and hard..

Morning everyone I've had a busy and fun week, just back from Phoenix on Thursday night...the wedding was beautiful and so was the weather but I lost my phone so was not able to contact some people I was going to meet up with..The snow in Denver on Thur. delayed my departure 1 1/2 hrs out of Phoenix and then added to my departure out of Denver.. Spent 6 1/2 hrs there and arrived in Ohio at 12:30am...had a 2 hr drive home.. I was exhausted yesterday...lol

Looks like everyone is good here, I missed the Jack and cookies party..

A couple of weeks ago I was in Houston and Galveston...Today I'm flying to Phoenix, AZ for a family wedding and hoping to meet with a few friends from Mingle and another site while there...

Morning! We have our first official SNOW! About an inch but most gone already as the sun is out...It was pretty but glad its melting..
40's today, not so bad, typical Nov weather.. Will finish decorating mmy xmas tree today and clean house,laundry..Tomorrow haircut and packing..Weather in Cleveland looks good for Thursday...

Morning minglers... Not sure why I've been waking up at about 6:30 every morning but here I am..lol

The weather channel says we may have snow later this week, hoping its not on Thursday as I have to drive to Cleveland to get my flight to Phoenix via Denver...Don't leave until evening (6:50) so I have plenty of time to get there but the Cleveland area gets the lake effect snow which can get bad...

Prayers for all in the Philippines.. My stepson lives there but not where they got the direct hit. He and his family are ok and have been able to keep in touch thru this and the earthquake...

Morning mingle friends, Yesterday I was outside without coat (it was 65) putting up my outside Christmas lights, today its only in the low 40's...Yes, I know its November and supposed to be cold..bigsmile: An early dr. appt this morning for some lab so I can have my eye surgery later this month..

Morning everyone Getting my xmas tree out of the garage today and will be putting it up before I leave for Phoenix on the 14th.. I'm having outpatient surgery on my eyes(having my eyelids lifted) 2 days before Thanksgiving so need to get that done now. Also have several appts before I go, will be a busy week before I go.

Aww Carol, I didn't get this message until now.. I had already left by the time you posted.. I was on the west end of Galveston Island, just west of "WOODYS" biker bar..imagine that! lol Would have loved to meet you! Temps were around 80 all week, with some showers but we were on the go a lot. On Thursday the Longhorn Biker Rally started, I timed that trip just right! Can't wait to go back!!

Wow, I remember all those also and them some...

I got caught skipping one afternoon of school, my dad told the principal he could give me whatever at school, but I knew what I was getting at home... And I knew better to lie when my dad asked where I was at..lol

Getting into the movies for $0.16, ice cream for 5 cents and a banana split for .50...

Viv, Was wondering if you were at the Galveston Longhorn Motorcycle Rally, selling your wares? My girlfriend surprised me with that, thousands were there...We went to Woodys, a biker bar..didn't stay long but we went...

Just back from a vacation in Houston and Galveston Island.. Getting much closer to 72 (March) and yes, I did ask for help thru Atlanta and Chicago airports and used my cane whenever I felt I needed it..Not too proud to ask for help.. However, I did get to GI in time for the Longhorn Motorcycle Rally (it's huge), a nice surprise from my girlfriend that I was visiting(we were cheerleaders in high school together)..AND we did go to a biker bar, WOODYS, didn't stay long but can say we were there! I miss my Harley.. Ate some great food but got lots of exercise by walking it off on the beach everyday.. Weather was around 80 everyday! My next trip is in 11 days, going to Phoenix for a family wedding, will be there a week.
A friend that visits from Florida and goes to the Senior Center to walk on the treadmill while here, told me I should go there, would know lots of people.. I told him that makes me feel old and I'm not ready to dye my hair blue and sit on the porch to watch the cars go by....lol
