Topic: Signed Up For DSL
They finally got the order straighten out but the company that I was getting the DSL with - they dropped that package deal. They came up with a newer, better package (the only one they have) which will cost me $139.99/month for 3G's. Unfortunately I cannot afford $139.99/month along with the land line phone service for $52.74/month. Combined would be $192.73/month bundled. WAY --- WAY too much.

Either contact my Dial-up ISP and sign me back up on their limited use plan or see if I-2000 will work with me. The last time I called the person hung up. They have DSL, high speed wireless (where DSL isn't available), unrestricted dial-up (which is what I have right now), web hosting, and voip phone service.

I signed up for Wild Blue back in November 2013 and haven't heard a word since.

You would think these companies would bend over backwards for your business. After all, that's money in their pockets. I guess they look at it as being an inconvenience. Got to send a tech out and get that person hooked up and running.

Topic: This Doesn't Sound Right
Seems here lately I've been getting the so called women whom really want to see me. They seem to have some kind of bad relationship story and sound like they are eager to get out as quickly as possible. First one living somewhere in southern Indiana wanted to see me, then popped the question "Are you seriously committed to seeing me?" So the next question is if I would wire that person $500 to pay for gas, food, and toiletries. I asked why we could meet up half way, but that didn't go over too well. I would still have to pay $500 for her travel expenses regardless to how less she would have to travel. grumble

The second one is a dozy. This gal really wanted to see me and just like the other one that had a bad life story to tell. How everyone in her family hates her and all that other crap. Well.... she wants me to wire her $1,200 to help pay for a car rental, lodging, food, toiletries and a PLANE TICKET. Here is the part that made me burst into full fledged laughter. She supposedly lives just 24 MILES AWAY!!!!!!! What is she going to do, rent a 2-seater Piper Cub and fly here!?!? REALLY???? noway How about we meet half way - that is 12 miles for her and 12 miles for me to drive in my own vehicle. She can rent a taxi cab. Or I could just go there and see her at a restaurant, etc. OMG!!slaphead

I won't talk about the third one. whoa

In all three cases I called and left a voicemail and all I get are text messages. So I am more than confident the person isn't a woman. That's why they don't want to talk on the phone.

Topic: Wireless Mouse
I bought a Radio Shack wireless mouse that uses one (1) AA size battery and unlike the Case Logic brand, this one does not turn itself off after 2 minutes of non-use. Most of the time I forget to turn it off and the battery is holding up just fine. No more pointer moving on it's own even though the mouse itself isn't moving at all and/or it turned itself off.

So.... Problem solved.

Topic: What makes You Happy
The ability to be with someone you can talk to and go for long walks. Possibly do things together. But also like long slow drives in the countryside. Off roading, biking, being outside well away from the hustle and bustle of city/town/village life and all the noisy traffic. Watching the sun set over the big lake. Listening to a general rain-shower pelt away on the roof, maybe with a clap or two of thunder in the clouds. Sitting by a babbling brook. Birds in the trees, frogs in the pond and field crickets.

Topic: Signed Up For DSL
Back in mid April I signed up for DSL via my dial-up ISP, which would have been $24.95/month with limitations of +30 hours per month. Well, hit quite a few snags along the way and eventually ended up talking to our third party phone billing company. They offered a far better DSL package with unlimited online time for $39.98/month. Then we hit another road block, seems the other company request for canceling the order didn't go through so we had two DSL modems waiting to be shipped. So here it is the middle of June and the first order was finally canceled and the second order was ready to be shipped. But then the third part phone billing company suddenly pulled the plug on that package deal for $39.98/month and is now claiming they only have this new package deal for $129.98/month. Obviously I cannot afford that as HughsNet is nearly that much as well.

Now I don't know what else to do. Guess I'm stuck with dial-up with a connection speed of 28 Kbps. Even though DSL is readily available in my area. Call up my dial-up ISP and see if they will reenlist the original order again and try to get that going - even though it is restricted to +30 hours of use per month. Won't be allowed to upload weather data 24/7.

I'm beginning to think it is a cheaply made expensive mouse as now it won't move. The red LED is working fine, it's the motion sensor that isn't working right. Used it on a light colored mouse pad and that didn't help. Then used a darker mouse pad - still the same issue.

I bought this at Walgreens.

Sorry to hear that sir. I just realized that - while I'm searching for a logical explanation to this hunting ; there was something more than in need of attention & that is your own first date. Now that's a gem worth hunting over.�Some scars are deeper than what meets the eyes.�We are just as lost as those passing souls! Find peace in finding your ghost...
