America where some, if not most, of the nicest guys in the world live (I'm being biased of course). If people think American guys are piggish they should visit some of the other countries (not all) where women are treated terrible. There are some countries where women can be respected for being the loving creatures they are but most women in the world see America as being a safe haven for their hearts to land and why not. For them it is well worth the long distance search. Like wise it is not a bad idea for guys form America to look at other countries for their women counter parts. My first wife was French/Italian (states raised)and second French/Jamaican (Island raised). Both were great women, beautiful in every respect, but there was a big cultural difference.

If guys or gals are burnt out on the local stereotypes it might just be a plus to look else where. This goes both ways of course. In this regard I have seen and experienced where opposites really do attracted especially if you lean toward the artistic or want to be excepted as who you are. It is not hard to get stagnant or jaded when dealing with people who have their minds set on a social narrow mindedness trip. Imagine taking all of your "quirks" and instead of constantly being told they are wrong and you will never fit in, you are totally excepted and treasured for those quirks. In many cases long distance relationships of origin can save the day if you are feeling that no one gets you. The fact is that someone does get you somewhere in the world and it is very worthwhile to find them wherever they are. Sometimes (many times) people get labeled as a non-viable partner in the pond. They keep searching among the same old attitudes and restrictions and after time start thinking that it is them doing something wrong. The reality of this is, in many cases, that these people have merely out grown that particular pond and need to find a bigger more diverse one, more excepting one.

If your feeling crowded or judged in your pond I highly recommend you do not give up but instead go fishing somewhere else. Somewhere the fish actually have palates that can still taste your good parts and not focused on what they perceive as bad parts. You my friends are not (not one of you) undesirable and if the local crowd does not meet your needs the world crowd will.

Let me put it to you this way. If I had to live with someone always rejecting my personality and ideas and I had a chance to have someone that loved me and was able to except me for who I am the choice would be pretty easy. Why do you think there are scams that come out of particular areas of the world? Because people are capitalizing on a good thing. You think these relationships are phony setups? You need to open your eyes and see how many mixed couples are hooking up. They start talking the money thing after the first conversation sure, dump them unless it is worth your while, but if your engaged in true possibilities you might be surprised.

A scam can happen here in the states just as easy as with that person from another country. You make the call.
