Topic: Songs that you can relate to the most.... | |
---|---|
For whatever reason are there certain songs you can relate to the most of all songs and why?
Mine are: "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, changing "girl" to boy or man in the song of course. Because I will always be a free spirit even when in a relationship or whatever happens in life. "Live like you were dying" by Tim McGraw, because I have faced this type of visit to the doc and learned to appreciate all that I am capable of doing and have today and every day because it can all be gone in a second. "Wasted Time" by the Eagles, for every failed relationship and the feeling of wasted time that happens after each one. It goes away though. "Joy and Pain" by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, just a fact of life. "He is" by Heather Headley, Reminds of how I felt about a man when I first fall in love with him, "If I Could" done by several artists, for my kids. I know I am missing some but these are the main ones. You? |

Fire and Rain by James Taylor.
I always thought the song was about a guy who had broken up with his girlfriend. When I brother died, I realized what it was really about and when ever I hear it, I can't help but think of my brother. |

Tim & Faith - I Need You
(question for me is where are you.) I wanna drink that shot of whiskey I wanna smoke that cigarette I wanna smell that sweet addiction on my breath I wanna ride cross West Virginia I n the backseat of a Cadillac You know some cowboys like me go out like that So I need you [Chorus] Like a needle needs a vein Like Uncle Joe in Oklahoma needs the rain I need you like a lighthouse on the coast Like the father and the son needs the holy ghost I need you I wanna get lost in some corner booth Cantina Mexico I wanna dance to the static of an a.m. radio I wanna wrap the moon around us and l ay beside you skin on skin Make love 'til the sun comes up till the sun goes down again cause i need you [Chorus] Like a needle needs a vein Like Uncle Joe in Oklahoma needs the rain I need you Like a lighthouse on the coast Like the father and the son needs the holy ghost I need you I wanna drink that shot of whiskey I wanna smoke that cigarette You know some cowboys like me go out like that So I need you I need you I need you i need you i need youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww i need you i need you i need you i need you toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo The why is easy, look at them sing to one another and how can you not dream of being able to share that love with someone. |

"Live like you were dying" by Tim McGraw < love this too Dragoness but not for the same reason as you but because of some things that went on for a very long time .... so at this point I feel like I deserve to have the chance to live like I were dying
Also Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood Suds in The Bucket and As IF - by Sara Evans especially Suds In The Bucket - that song is "me" to the core - at any age 18, 40 and beyond.... the house that built me
miranda lambert add this it reminds me of 2 summers ago when we buried my mamma in NE Penn. in th hills - we went into this tiny country town in the mountains there, It had 1 stop sign where she was from and we knocked on the door of the old farmhouse her gramma had and where she spent her summers - and we heard so many stories about as kids thought the current owners were gonna think we were nuts, but they didn't they were real nice and the hole in the floor of the sideroom for great granpa's dentist chair was still there |
