You will find animosity toward religious ideas here, even with a disclaimer. If you do your best with your friend and you feel ill equipped, all you can do at that point is help him find a good pastor to talk with. It takes 2 to make counseling work. Without specifics that's all I can really say.

Yes... I hate to say this... but the devil has been decieving mankind and urging him to exalt himself above God for centuries. It is truly naive to think that he does not exist or that he is not eagerly at his work. Ahhh This is exactly my point, (or at least reminds me of a point) God made Everything. He is in Everything. I think people who believe he is only in one small book that is believed in half the world are being deceived. Just open your eyes to all he has created. He does not stop at a book. He made it all, all in his glory, all from him. Peace and Love The Bible even says that. Rabbit dude, you have no idea of the concepts in which you so fervently fight against. |

Some of us on here have said that if the Bible was really the word of God it would be more obvious. So obvious that there would be only one religion over the whole world. So I started thinking what would the real word of God look like. At first I thought maybe it would glow and float in the air at about chest level. Then I thought it would not be one book it would be many because some people really like to read and God created everything so I think it would be an almost infinite number of books written about everything. People who like music could get music there, people who liked art could see art, poetry,and so on. It would appear to you in what ever language you spoke so that no one would be left out of it. As I thought about this it came to me that I was almost describing the world wide web. Almost infinite in knowledge. You can find information that applies to whatever you think about. It connects with other people all over the world. It comes in the language that you need. It is such an obviously important thing that no one can ignore it for long. I don't know who said what I am paraphrasing here but here goes. Ladies and Gentleman We have looked for the New Bible and it is Us. It IS in us. That is the spirit of salvation. In a broken world we work out what is true in our spirits to make it known in the physical. My son has Christian skateboardin videos from Steel Roots. We have christian (creationist) well...just about everything if you look hard enough. It's all there, but people have to be 'willing'. It all starts with accepting Christs spirit.(and as you cringe at reading that, it's a witness to you rejecting it. the more you seek the more you are welled up spiritually and guided to make certain steps to affect the physical world, they co exist. Later dudes

well since you asked so nicely. If you weren't such a devout christian, I'd marry you. Well, ok maybe not, but I'd think about it. You're almost as critical and cynical as me, keep trying you'll get there......
I'm leaning toward Creationist. Christian seems to have taken on a bad rep. And yes, I do have certain notions about my wife that need to be present. A shared life has to have values of the same creed. Cute is a plus, but I really do look far beyond that. Besides, isn't that what the foundation is. Without it you are only living off of 'feelings' and sensuality. |

There ya go. Thank you. I've been attempting that truthfully. My cheap ebay bargain camera likes to talk back to me and give me a hard time about it though. We need counseling.
Besides, on a good day I AM a cartoon....do the voices and everything.
