I’m positive it would work. I changed my mind about dating just yet and when I changed my profile to seeking friendship, my emails doubled instead of halving. Is halving a word? Haha! Halving is a word Jan, it's just taken in 2 parts.....haha Very cute Bri. |

Yes it is a word verb gerund or present participle: halving; noun: halving Groovy! Thanks Tom. It seemed right and then questionable. Haha! |

Salmon, wild rice, peas and carrots and mixed salad. A glass of Pinot and strawberries and bananas with yogurt dip for desert.
I can smell it now...almost done. |

My Dad has always called me Jam...from being a Jam faced toddler and rhyming with Jan.
My husband called me Sweetie from our very first date until his last day. My kids call me Momma My grandkids call me Gem ma. Something my first grandchild started and passed to her little brother. I love every nickname I’ve ever been called. |

Whats Your sign??

When a man asks me what my sign is, my standard answer is...Stop. Lol, I'm hip baby! That sound is like out of it! Sorry about that...I just flashed to the seventies, bellbutton blue jeans and all! Yes Jan, I agree! It is passé, but some folks might old school it just for fun! It’s a fun topic. I think men only used that line as a joke by the time I was dating. So I was just giving one back to them. Hehe! |

I’m not good at hiding my feelings, so I end up throwing a goofy blush-smile when I find a man attractive. That’s my idea of a first move.

I think you’ve thinned your pool a lot with your plea for white women.
At least now they will know why you like them...so, that nice. Good luck to you. |

Interested in older woman

Not many infinity aged wemens out there looking for young boys in short pants. I think some of these young men are trying to find older women to teach them what they’re doing wrong that they can’t get the young women. |

Share your best date story.

I fell over right in front of a date. She was very pretty and when I was younger I didn’t have much confidence but I got the courage up and asked her out. To my pleasant surprise she said yes. It was just after Christmas, a freezing cold January night. There we were walking along, I was walking her home, and all of a sudden I felt my feet go from under me. I slipped on some icy paving. I remember it like it was yesterday. It seemed to happen in slow motion and as I was half way to the ground I was thinking, oh FFS this wasn’t supposed to happen. The funny thing was, as I landed on the ground I kinda turned to look up at her, and there was the moon right next to her head. So I was looking up at her but thinking, the moon looks very bright tonight. I jumped up quick, brushed myself down and then we both laughed for the rest of the way. 20 odd years later and 2 beautiful kids I must have done something right. Great ending to a great story. |

T’was a long time ago, her name was Juliet. We fell in love despite our feuding families. Alas, it didn’t end well. I should have expected that one...being a joker myself. |

For some people, stepping in to protect may just be an instinct that would be hard to control. I don’t know if I have it in me. It’s never been tested before.

I was mugged on the street and a man standing by me chased the guy. My life was in no danger, as the thief grabbed my purse and ran the other way. But the man who chased him was putting himself in danger. I screamed at him to let him go but he chased him for quite a way before coming back.
I might feel differently if the thief were a physical threat, but I didn’t want that man to put himself at risk for me. The loss of the purse was unfortunate, but the hero stepping in scared the hell out of me! |

Second date
|
|
I’ve been getting a lot of dating advice from my kids lately. Haha!
According to them the first several dates should be in a public setting, during daylight hours. Don’t EVER get in their car or go to their home or let them in your home until you’re comfortable enough for evening dates. I’m going with this, because it seems like sound advice and because it’s from my own children, who have both dated much more recently than me, I know it comes from the heart. |
