My parents couldnt agree on names they picked out for me:

April
Meredith
Stephanie
Blythe

I never met anyone with my name until 7th grade.. Same initials as well.. As I grew up, I began to appreciate the uniqueness of my name. I love the rhythm of it.

Very nice ring! Your parents had good taste.

Thanks for stressing me out Tom! grumble

Only Kidding.

It makes perfect sense to me. It can be very uncomfortable being around severely stressful people. But being around other people, under the right circumstances, can relieve stress and anxiety for those who suffer from it.

Let me off this merry-go-round!

(Hypothetically)

After the party phase is over, what would you do with your days?

Give £750,000 each to my daughters so they can finally move out of the family home, then put my feet up

I buy lottery tickets and if I won big the first thing I would do is not tell anyone. I'd quietly tell my close family and share it with them first Then with people who had treated me well. Then I would move to where no one knew me.

Good Plan! laugh

I’m with you Aussieguy!

No, seriously...take me with you! rofl

We all won the lottery the day we were born in a western so called 1st world Country.

Very true! My daughter has traveled with Watts of Love to places that make you really appreciate all that we take for granted...like safe indoor lighting, heat and air conditioning.

I'd most likely spend 85% on drinking, gambling and loose women, then just waste the rest of it....haha

After the skeptical and Oh Chit phase? The "careful don't blow it phase?

....after "close" family is handled... a 2..3 bedroom apt in Amsterdam, killer bike, trips as they are decided, chill, decide about responsible charity.

Blow the rest having Van Halen play at my Birthday Party.

A well thought out plan. Don’t forget to buy a ticket before your Birthday. Haha!

There was a time when I wished I had a more unique name.
I am Thomas Michael.
Both very common names.
When we named our first born we gave him three names
Michael Thomas Lemuel (Mickey TenderLove was his stranger test)
Our first born daughter was also granted three
Amanda Lee Janet (MandiLeeJay was her stranger test)
All named after our families.
My other two were named
Christopher Thomas (TopherJoe his stranger test)
and
Joseph Robert (JoeyBoBob his stranger test)

It was round about the time I started loving myself that my name became my favorite. Took me about 50 years but I finally came to grips with it.
Still, only a lover can call me Tommy and get away with it.

Everyone in my family but me have three names. But my father was a joker who provided my middle name Miya. So I am Janet Miya Darling. Not joking.

Out of spite, my Mother named me after my Father's
last girlfriend before they were married. You can
foretell the destiny of that union.

I feel like a Jagger :-)

If the danger is the type that they can leave at the office, like a fireman, yeah. If the danger is something that could leave lingering enemies or emotional issues, like police or seal or something like that,,,, no.

Another great point! There’s a pretty significant difference I hadn’t considered.

If I won a big enough lottery to retire early, I would want to spend my days doing something volunteering with children.

Well, considering that I don't gamble, I don't play the lottery, so I will never win the lottery.
Then, considering that what I seek, money can't buy, I have no desire for lots of money. I have what I need and am pretty comfortable.
But if we are wishing for something, I wish I was in my 30's health.

I don’t gamble or buy lottery tickets either. laugh

If you got that your party phase would probably last longer than a lottery winner’s. drinks

Actually, I like my name and all the different renditions of it.

You have some variety there.

Jan does hold the added option of people mistaking it for Jane. Haha!
