lying is part of life. it would be a lie to say i've never lied and it would be stupid to think you do not lie to yourself and even to your loved ones or to strangers.

That being said... I personally believe that it is good to be honest about Most Things. Okay so why did I say "Most Things"? Read on.

Being discrete is important too. Your pretty ignorant if you think you can't hide something, its not considered good form to tell everyone everything, parents hide things from there kids (for example) they aren't going to blab about how good it was in bed last night to there 7 year old kids. And in fact that may be inappropriate for adults in the majority of settings as well. And simply put some things are not really anyones business except your own.

Although some people are going to interpret hiding something as not a lie, I interpret it as if your not going to tell people about it your hiding it which means your lying about it avoiding the conversation or leaving out details about the event which I consider lying/hiding.

What is important to take from this is yes hide things or lie if you need to. when its appropriate! Otherwise if your lying about things that should not matter anyways your distorting your reality and hurting yourself and others.

Maybe this wasn't the answer most of you wanted that is fine by me. I might love to live in a world without lies it would be hard to tell though because all i've known so far is this world and there are lots of lies in it.

I am interested to know what others think on this.

It was nice to read this stick to your decision even if someone else does not commit to it or support it. I have had to do this over and over in my life. It really does feel good to follow through and move forward. Lots of opportunities are available every single day and all that we need is all around us anyways. We just do not take notice of it all or fail to seize it at times until we learn and grow more. What we are is the decisions we make for ourselves.
