Bodies broken limbs curved and bent
Struggling for breath and coolness
Nickels, dimes and the hard won dollars
Making them feel Blessed
Feeling as though they were Heaven sent

Worldview warped...by our standards
Pain and suffering from life's challenges
Pouring from their glances
But "Hello, how are you doing?'
Never falters from passing their lips

The human will to survive
Is evident to all that pass by
Accepting and non-reflecting
What they have and what they have not
Life continues on after a moment and a sigh

It is time to be grateful for what is earned
Not a mansion, clothes or the greatest of cars
But respect and kindness, given and received
"And the greatest of these is Love", quoted from the Bible...
Goodness of heart, their Worldview says, lesson I well learned

I love the rain in July....warm and fun...sometimes being alone is what a person needs to be...regroup...restart and time to just be...

So let's take a day off and make some memories......

Opened your eyes
and felt the sun’s warmth
fill up your heart…
each degree
taking possession
the power
the healing
desires
cleansing
of love’s lost.

Have you ever…
felt
as if you could
go on forever
invincible
moving forward
steadfast and sure that…
the winds of time
have found you…just in time
kissing you with happiness
breezing by with the breath of hope

Have you ever…
felt the beam of light
clothing you after the Dark Knight
beautiful still, laying there naked
imperfections bared
my breast rise and fall
with each breath
Love…alive…with the beat of my heart
