Death questions Life

Intrigued by the plethora of a baby's innocence.
Death gently surreptitiously, steals its next breath.
It holds the hand of a young girl in a speeding car.
Staring wondrously, at her magnanimous spirit.
The car is soon altered into a twisted metal shell.
Death stoops lewdly, by a abandoned homeless
woman on a moonless frigid night.
It caresses her with a everlasting embrace.
Death and Life hold a cognitive dissonance
concerning human life.

Both agree, the beginning of the day is given
but the end of the day is simply not promised.
