Just One of Those Times


Not that I
want to be alone
no one really does
but I do want
one of those times
where I’m alone
walking on a white sandy beach
feeling the sun’s warmth
pour over my soul

I just want
one of those times
where
each footprint I leave
is somehow left there like a memory
doesn’t matter
that the ocean’s waves
may wash them away
I know that I was there
I had that moment
and no one can take that away

Palm trees
would sway
as if leading me to a place
where I’ve longed to be
the sound of the ocean
along with the passing birds
would create a melody of thoughts
that would flow through my soul
and remain within me forever
if only I had
just one of those times

walking on a white sandy beach ... i'd settle for just that
right now :) enjoyed this mig, my kind of moment too!
