I have found that men with a military background (several ex'es were military) always use "female" instead of woman or lady when they write or talk. They have been programmed to do that. I'm sure it has something to do with desensitizing them, but it is very annoying. I wonder if women in the military refer to all men as "male". Somehow I doubt it. Any military women out there to clarify this for me?

Whats really amazing to me Kat is that a lot of people played before it was deleted. We obviously didn't care that it was in the "wrong" category. It was still fun. Some people just like having the ability to squash someone else's fun. Don't worry about it and please don't apologize. There was nothing to apologize for.

My prayers are with you. I've been there and things will get tough but lean on your friends. They are there for you. They want to be there for you.

If you have made yourself clear, then I say you have to quit hanging out with him. The phone call every day would be a red flag for me, but that's me. I hate it when this happens. Unfortunately you end up losing a good friend, but it obvious he thinks you will eventually have romantic feelings for him. If you are positive you won't, you gotta let him go as a friend.

Unfortunately, there are no "right" words for him. The most you can do is keep it positive and real. I don't believe you should go in to details about the the other man, but I do think you have a legitimate reason to break it off and he needs to know that. I personally would say something like "I ran into an old friend and the feelings I had when talking to him made me realize that what we have as a couple isn't as strong as those feelings. It would be wrong of me not to follow my heart and take a chance at a lifetime of happiness." I would stay away from "your a great guy but..." or "it's not you, it's me" Good Luck
