Bush is GONE. Rush hasn't told them what to think except America needs to fail, so they can take power back from the people. All the Bushies are on another thread putting down Obama's speech. They don't have to answer your question if the can ignore it, or pretent they aren't aware of your question.

good point:)

If you ask me keeping our country from being attacked again is a big accomplishment. Tho you cant say President Bush did that by himself nore can you blame the state of our country solely on him we do have a thing called congress you know tell me what they have done?

Oh and I am makeing about $30,000/year more than I was 8 years ago so what ever President Bush and congress did really didnt have an affect on me.

cool 30 gs a year more...in what employment sector if you dont mind my asking???...how much of that 30 gs was ate up by overly inflated inflation???....everyone has been effected somehow..im glad you feel it effected you for the better...or not at all as you state...

His greatest accomplishment was invading Iraq. At least that is what his daddy is patting him on the back for. laugh laugh

He's gone for now. We will miss him.

But now that the spotlight is off of the Bush's who's going to keep an eye on what they are up to next?

the world will be watching...but will they see whats actually happening???...thats the question that burns in my mind.

this was a debate???....i missed that part...forgive my lack of inteligence...i thought questions were usually answered with answers...not a list of finger pointing...i see your tax cuts..and your weapons ban lift (due to effectively doing nothing)....didnt effect your life??? at all?? im impressed.

Here's an honest question for you. Do you want me to reflect on the last 8 years and try to figure our the source of the problems or do you just want to bash Bush?

again the question remains...WHAT WAS HIS GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT??? AND HOW IS YOUR LIFE BETTER NOW???

im not sure how to put it any simpler....i would think a critical thinker should be able understand a simple question without confusing the issues...or making issues where there are no issues.~rolls eyes~

What's funny is he didn't actually write new legislation for assualt weapons. The old legislation just ran out....laugh

I'm still puzzled how people think he was the most damaging...

look at the state of the country and the world and ask yourself how it got there...still all the bushies or shrubbies cant come up with a single thing that was a competent descision...i really thought someone would come up with something good...for all the defenses raised in earlier debates....still nothin huh???

I have. I think you should do the same.

NAFTA - caused many of the outsourcing problems we have today. Signed in by president Clinton and written by a democratic congress in 1993. This is the source of A LOT of problems.

Community Reinvestmen Act (CRA)- caused great potential for the housing bubble and many say is why the bubble burst. Bill was signed 1977 by James Carter, and written by a democratic congress.

According to your logic the department of education caused our schools to fall behind the curve. Before the department of education it U.S. schools were rated #1. Now they are rated #12. This was also enstated by Jimmy Carter.

1971 congress voted to no longer back the back our dollar with gold. Richard Nixon - republican was president at the time. No idea what political affiliation had the majority of congress at the time.

FDR during the great depression passed legislation that prolonged the depression according to economic experts. (these are things like price fixing)

But the most damaging move anyone has ever was to start a national Bank. Luckily, in the past, Thomas Jefferson abolished the first one, and Andrew Jackson, the only president to pay off our national debt, abolished the second.

But:

Woodrow Wilson - voted in our current national bank, the federal reserve bank. In actuality this bank is niether federal nor a reserve, as it is a PRIVATE bank that has been KNOWN to sell it's gold reserves to other countries.

Do the math. Every dollar of every cent stamped and printed goes directly into the federal reserve, then gets loaned out to banks at an interest rate. That means 100% of our money put into circulation needs to be paid back with interest.

If you then apply logic to the system, the move in 1971 to no longer back our money, and the CRA in 1977 start to make sense. So does the increasing effort our government puts into spending more and more money every year.

Go ahead and think Bush was the worst evil ever.

The way i see it, Democrats and republicans alike had a big hand in all this mess. And this mess was all started LONG before Bush got into office. He was merely walking the same line as Clinton, Bush sr. and 90% of the other presidents we've had in the last 100 years.

Do your homework, then get back to me.

ok now we got one finger pointing a hundred different directions...how about not defending and simply answering a simple question...

ill type slowly so you can understand....

im actually shocked by this thread...after watchin the shrub supporters defend him...very adimately in most cases...not one person can come up with a single reasonably good deed he accomplished...as far as taking the war from our front yard to thier back yard...he chose the wrong back yard...so still nothin...i remember a time not so long ago when 100 people were pointing fingers in every direction on a thread such as this...im just wonderin where they all went now that there hero has handed over his throne...just one good deed...it shouldnt be that difficult for those who thought he could do no wrong.

this is really a sorry thing...still pointing fingers at what others have done...still making excuses..still sayin we need to stand behind our leader making descisions...back to the original question....what was his greatest accomplishment as the leader of our country???? and how is your life better now because of it???

they picked the friggin fight lily livered, our people were attacked & that is that! I support the leaders of our country, I don't always agree with every decision. No matter who I vote for or do not vote for. divided we fall, shouldnt fight while our boys r fighting for us, shall we repeat and have them feel they r not doing a united front. everyone is guilty through bickering politicians to powerful to rich to poor and should all be ashamed of ourselves. they need support not bickering.

ok you dont agree with every descision...how about just one???...still nothin

It's so nice to see a President think before he speaks.

g.w.s legacy

1. kept comics out of the unemployment line for 8 years (one of the few thriving sectors)

2. effectively kept us engaged in a war we never should have entered to start with.(for huge personal profit)

3. no new building permits recently issued in major cities due to rebuilding after plane crashes.

4. good quarterback...(toss the ball into someone elses lap and pass the blame)

5. gave the world a new definition for the word "shrub"

6. set the best example ever on how not to run a country

7. reinstilled the notion amongst the children of this generation "someday you can become president" (if gw can twice anybody can)

8. gave us the right to own semi automatic weapons

9. outlawed killing babies that were halfway out.
