Not a Bush supporter but I was pretty entertained by the Bushisms over time.

I am sure comedians will miss him.

Quite surprised that some posters weren't right on this thread.

Oh well it's early in the day.

There will be replies later on.

There were a good many things I disagreed with Bush on.. Amnesty bill for one, the bailout is another.. the NAFTA superhighway is another.

I think Bush was a globalist, one of these no-borders types.. If I was a conspiracy nut-job with an tinfoil hat, I'd say he was part of the illuminati but that's science fiction stuff, well fiction at least..

Where I think bush served the country was in keeping Al Gore out of the oval office and Kerry as well.. Either of whom would have shrunk from conflict with the people who had already been at war with us for nearly a decade when bush took office and invited more attacks here at home. they woud have submarined the economy by signing onto the Kyoto Treaty.

Have you been in a coffee shop in the last eight years and wondered if the next car that pulled up was going to blow up?

me either..

but really.. get over it already.. he's gone. it's over.. all you're doing is bellyaching..

I don't think him asking how people's lives are better or what his greatest accomplishments were is bellyaching. There are a ton of people out there who always defended Bush. Nothing wrong with asking why.

If it wasn't a pointed and clearly divisive question, I'd agree with you but the question was clearly intended as yet another jab at the Bush Administration..

What was the name of that site.. oh, come on..

oh yeah MOVEON... wasn't that the mantra from the left beginning somewhere around April 2002.. move on.. take a page from your own ideology and just move on already..

dude, I responded to your question openly and honestly. If you want to discuss that, I'd be happy to but I'm not going to engage in your gratuitous self-satisfying Bush bashing.

criticize than to do the job

to answer the are you better off is impossible

who knows what would have happened under different circumstances of events

that is true but the planning and training had to have been taking place under clintons watch

i doubt that type of operation can be orchestrated in 9 months

He paved the way for a change of party. He demonstrated the ultimate worst in Presidential leadership.

He was great fodder for late night comedians.

No reason to defend Bush. After all he added quite a bit to this mess. Patriot Act, the war on terror, Iraq (basically his whole foreign policy), his allow illegal immigrantion and supporting it, no child left behind, etc.

Clinton added NAFTA, also supported illegal immigration (and partly as a result of NAFTA, he greatly supported outsourcing), and extensive gun control as well as the Terrorist Act (what ever you call the act that was started after Oklahoma city bombin), and don't forget Clinton started more wars and racked up nearly the body count bush did.

This list goes on. Bush Sr., Richard Nixon, FDR, etc.

Woodrow Wilson and Jimmy Carter were the two most damaging administrations I would say...

I have no problems with bashing the shrub. What i do have a problem with is people stopping at him. Picking political parties to follow like you are picking a team is ignorant and idiotic. Thinking Bush is the sole cause of all our messes right now is ignorant. Thinking that just republicans are to blame is just as ignorant.

Believe a small one sided uninformed piece of a very large puzzle if you want...
