I admite, I'm no expert in US political system. But, if I'm not mistaken, the majority of Congress is Republican? However, Obama fooled everybody with his scare of scrapping the space program off the budget. Then, following the general outcry, he turned around and offered $6 billion for the program! That was a pre-emptive strike: now, nobody would dare claiming that's too much! Besides, such far reaching plans -- as landing on the asteroid, thus saving the fuel required for exploring the gallaxy -- should receive the approval... (not that he personally devised the idea, but still ingenious!) |

In the other thread, your praising Obama, but regret about not much support. 1. you just posted it in the evening. Do you expect everybody waiting for you to post something and then jump in right away??? 2. So far, 50% of the responses support his endeavor! (easy arithmetic: total number of posters (2) minus the number of negative responses (1) divided by 100! 
For starters, that ain't bad! 3. Just because the other fellow doesn't comprehend, doesn't mean he deserves the whole 50%!!! (0.93% is more than enough for his "educated" opinion!!!)
