As a U.S.Navy Vietnam Veteran and true AMERICAN, I believe absolutely NOTHING that is on the TV news or the newspapers.
There was a time when I was very PROUD of being an American but in just a few short months it has become an embarrasment and not just to me, but to millions of Americans. Thank you sooo soo much ah you are sooo cool
I see so many people being led like sheep to the slaughter
they believe everything they hear & see on the news
they all are identical brainless clones of one another
just spouting only what they hear & see
& Nothing of what they think or feel deep inside
if they Even think or feel or see something
other than what they are told to think or see or feel
and very few of us are even capable, it seems
of looking outside of the box < so to speak >
& to see things in a different light & from a different perspective

i remember standing up at the festival with people all around
dancing my heart out to Santana at age 15 while tripping on LSD
with my long hair flowing & some guy came up to me and said
gee have you ever experienced Nirvana
and i looked at him with a look on my face as if to say
"can't you see i am here Dude " ???
and to think that that was forty years ago next month
and I have three children in their thrities
and young grandchildren too
Happy memories...........
yes they were.. kind of crazy but we were sooo fortunate
while my Brothers were fighting & dying for our Freedom in Vietnam
I can never thank them enough
I just hope and pray that future generations
will have it as good & as safe as we got to have a good glimpse of

You're very welcome Punz, any friend of The Yellow Submarine is a friend of mine.
ohhhh . no one has called me in long time
now , you gotta understand that i saw the Beatles
on their first show on Ed Sullivan when i was about ten
and i was screaming with the best of them
And...I saw this excellent movie
back in my teens whenever it first came out
when many of you were very very young
or not even on this planet yet
I will have to correct that, a phone call sometime this coming week? I also love the movie Help! I am a total Beatles fan.
definitely
it has been a long time coming
and i do believe i have your number too
and i saw a hard days night and lucy in the sky with diamonds and went to Woodstock too,
& so many people said they saw me in the movie
& soo many other concerts too and i have met so many musicians
so these Americans have a local celebrity in their midst & they didn't even know it
ooh thank God for the edit feature i make so many typos

We only got one planet
Ohh God Yes..Honey We only have one planet
and if we don't take care of the one we've been given
what is the intelligence or sense in finding other planets
to inhabit, pollute, corrupt & ultimately destroy
if we don't make Peace with our Creator ,
with ourselves & with our planet
we may not get another chance

Well, if i cannot reach you all one way , then maybe you will heed these warnings
I wonder how many canaries in a coal mine some people need to really wake up & open their eyes
http://www.youtube.com/user/canariesinacoalmine http://www.wisegeek.com/what-does-it-mean-to-be-a-canary-in-a-coal-mine.htm What does It Mean to be a "Canary in a Coal Mine"? Life for an actual canary in a coal mine could be described in three words - short but meaningful. Early coal mines did not feature ventilation systems, so miners would routinely bring a caged canary into new coal seams. Canaries are especially sensitive to methane and carbon monoxide, which made them ideal for detecting any dangerous gas build-ups. As long as the canary in a coal mine kept singing, the miners knew their air supply was safe. A dead canary in a coal mine signalled an immediate evacuation. Even as gas detection technology improved, some mining companies still relied on the 'canary in a coal mine' method well into the 20th century. Other animals were used occasionally, but only the canary had the ability to detect small concentrations of gas and react instinctively. Today, the practice of using a canary in a coal mine has become part of coal mining lore, but the ideology behind it has become a popular expression. The phrase living like a canary in a coal mine often refers to serving as a warning to others. The actual canary in a coal mine had little control over its fate, but it continued to sing anyway. In one sense, living like a canary in a coal mine indicates a willingness to experience life's dangers without compromise. Marvin Gaye - Mercy, Mercy Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9BA6fFGMjI&feature=fvw Oh, mercy mercy me Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no Where did all the blue sky go? Poison is the wind that blows From the north, east, south, and sea Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be No, no Oil wasted on the oceans and upon our seas Fish full of mercury
Oh, mercy mercy me Oh, things ain't what they used to be No, no Radiation in the ground and in the sky Animals and birds who live nearby are dying Oh, mercy mercy me Oh, things ain't what they used to be What about this overcrowded land? How much more abuse from man can you stand? My sweet Lord My sweet Lord My sweet Lord
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_sentinels There is increasing recognition that wild, domestic, and companion animals may act as "sentinels" for environmental health hazards by providing early warning of human health hazards in the environment. The ability of animals to act as sentinels is because they may be more susceptible or have greater exposure to a particular hazard compared to humans living nearby. Canaries in coal mines The classic example of animals serving as sentinels is the canary in the coal mine. Well into the 20th century, coal miners in the United Kingdom and the United States brought canaries into coal mines as an early-warning signal for toxic gases including methane and carbon monoxide. The birds, being more sensitive, would become sick before the miners, who would then have a chance to escape or put on protective respirators. Infectious diseases The discovery of West Nile Virus in the western hemisphere was heralded by an outbreak of disease in crows and other wild birds. Other emerging diseases have demonstrated linkages between animal health events and human risk, including Monkeypox, SARS, and Avian Influenza. Terrorist events Some speculate that animals could provide early warning of a terrorist attack using biological or chemical agents. Since most potential bioterrorism threats are zoonoses (infectious diseases of animal origin), animals could also be at risk from a terrorism attack and may be first to show signs of illness due to increased exposure or susceptibility. For example, when anthrax was inadvertently released from a Soviet weapons facility in Sverdlovsk, livestock died at a greater distance from the plant compared to human cases. ] Pets and household hazards Dogs may provide early warning of lead poisoning hazards in a home, and certain cancers in dogs and cats have been linked to household exposures to pesticides, cigarette smoke, and other carcinogens. "One Health" Recently, there has been a call for linkage of human and veterinary medicine in a "One Health" approach that recognizes disease events in non-human species may indicate human health risk. The "One Health" approach involves greater information sharing between human health and veterinary clinicians and public health professionals and cooperative efforts to identify and prevent diseases that act across species barriers in a way that is mutually beneficial.
