i would have to say the best memeory of my dad was when he came to see me my brother and sister i was 17,he told us he was sorry for never being in our lives he thought it was best he said i never stopped thinking about ya'll or loving you ,,i just wanted ya'll to have a better life ..he was killed about three months later i'm so glad he told me that one time in my life that he loved me it means the world to me now

Change the info in my profile?? Being a mature male, Honest, Hard working- with a decent job, down to earth and well balanced, support and love my kids and family, and sober seems to be points of downfall. Thinking I should change it to Unemployed drunk looking for one night stands with women that enjoy beatings. If you desire long term (2 months)  then you should have a good job and not mind if just about everything I say is a lie.
I joke around here mostly, Yet almost every thread I have posted in.. Usually it is completely ignored. I feel so welcome and warm and fuzzy. No.. wait... that is because I haven't shaved in a couple of days and didn't turn on the air conditioner today.

What I want to know, how can someone go on and live a life, while promises others various things left and right but won't keep it...what makes a person become like this, and why is he or she feels so comfortable anyway...not even thinking of the consequences? How does someone become so "numb" to actually feel somewhat of a compassion or just simply unable to comprehend that his or her promise can be taken quite seriously? Or there are people out there who think promise is just a word?

Ah...Shelly, I agree with you 100%. This can relate to so many different things in the world, even people. Love is one such thing. Love cannot be seen nor touched, but it can be felt in the heart. People can see that one is attracted to another, but it can sometimes be difficult to truly see love for what it is. Love is an emotion you can only feel. Your heart melts and pounds at the same time at the sight of the one you love. It is so difficult to explain but we can feel it, our hearts can feel it. It is only our heart that truly understands how we love, who we love and why. Inner Peace is another thing. You cannot see a person’s inner peace, nor can you touch it. Though, if you are one of those lucky people who have inner peace within themselves, you can feel it and you can feel it in the heart. It is your heart that feels at peace. In relation to people, well, sometimes you meet a person and it is not the appearance that you love, but it is the person within. And the person within is one you cannot touch nor see. Though you can feel in your heart, the person within, you can sense them. Your heart feels it, which is why then we can become close to such a person. The heart falls for that person within.
