after seeing the people on the show last year why do u think she wasnt' selected

I don't know... probably didn't put enough thought into her audition video.

I think they probably have certain "types" they are looking for at the start of each new season and the people auditioning are unaware so there is no way to plan ahead or try to be what they are looking for. There is generally the token overly sexualized female, manipulative backstabber, unlikely contestant (older person) etc etc...

I was wondering would you ever apply to be on this show and if not why? An how would you feel if your friend, significant other were to apply to be on this show? Would you watch it?

Ive actually watched this show a few times (Im not embarrassed to admit it) and it was okay. Kind of fun. I enjoyed the intense emotional dynamic that developed between the house mates. Its identical to "Survivor" in many ways only minus the adverse physical environment. Instead, Big Brother takes place in a relatively comfortable home life setting.

The only thing that turned me off the show was "Julie Chen". That woman bugs the crap out of me. They need a new host for certain.

I would imagine it is based in biology to some degree. Our primate nature. We tend to be very aggressive, territorial but also possess an enormous capacity to love and take care of one another. The ability to comprise emotional extremes has been both beneficial and detrimental.

The F word can be incredibly sexy though depending on how one uses it in context. It carries a certain forcefulness that is not easily ignored or denied. Ive heard it used correctly and incorrectly that's for sure.

How does one use it incorrectly?

Well, the F word really needs to come from the gut, accompanied by an assertive tone in the voice. Not necessarily angry either, but it needs to command respect. Actually the most intimidating use of the word "f-ck" Ive ever heard in my entire life was from a woman that would almost hiss it like a snake, "fuc- you". It was a woman I used to work with years ago. Scary.

The way not to use the F word is in a timid manner. That just doesn't cut it at all. happy

id like to title this site 'a tightly bound, and commonly misunderstood, social network with possible applications as a internet dating site.'

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

asleep

I like it! Its quite descriptively accurate if not absurdly awkward.

I think the reasons that people are registered on this site are far and wide. No, Im pretty sure this is not a "dating" site per sey. Its more of a "social networking" site along the same lines as myspace or what not. Many of the people here are looking for dates but not everyone of course. Just relax and have fun. Try not to take offense by what others do. If it does not infringe on your own enjoyment of the site, then dont create a problem where none exists.

I can't see your face. I don't really know what you are thinking. It is hard when communication is only words. I have heard your words. I have listen to you express your thoughts. I don't know how you feel. I need to know how you feel. Because I don't know if all the thoughts running through my head are valid. I want them to be valid, but I need to know how you feel.

You hit the nail on the head with your thoughts here. Especially on the net! Its very difficult at times! It makes me realize how much I do rely on being with someone physically so that I can hear their voice inflection and fully experience their body language.

The internet is frustrating!

That kind of sounds like one of those "urban legend" tales. Im not saying it isnt true but its probably parts of different stories and someone put them all together. I could see either incident (motorcycle or gas explosion) happening independently of one another.

The disturbing thing to me is that some of those statements are very real and not exaggerations. People are far too "connected" to the net these days, emotionally, physically (sitting for hours) and in some cases even spiritually. And then if you work on the internet in some capacity, forget it. You end up spending every waking moment online.
