christianity and christians are judge for what other christians have done in the past. For instance, the inquisition is one of the biggest mistakes of the Catholic Church (for which Pope John Paul II already apologyzed). For thousands of years chrstians has blamed jewish people for the death of my Lord. The crusades was another of those wrong deeds based upon christianity.
=========================================================================
Now in these days we have something called affirmative actions which are actions to give minorities (african americans most of all) certain benefits over white people as a compensation for the slavery of their ancestors.
It seems like a nonsense, why white people have to pay nowadays for what white people of 200 years ago did?

The same should apply to christianity. why should christians of these days pay for the wrong deeds of christians from centuries ago?
Or better yet why the entire christianity has to be judged by the wrong-doings of some of those who call themselves christians?
as i have said before it's necessary to make an analysis on a case-by-case analysis, so we can have a better idea
Because the only think we know is what the media sells us. Priests, pastors, or preachers doing this or doing that. But what about those who really work hard for the well-being of others? why don't we consider them as well in order to make a more fair judgment of the entire christianity?

Some good points.
Black Americans are no longer the largest minority.
It's Hispanics.

 maybe its because christians keep tell people what to do and what to think. Take there views on abortions and gays. You have a right to believe what you want but do tell its all writen in the bible, the bible was what some wrote down long after the "real" events happened and has lots of mis quotes in it. flowerforyou

re-read the original post my friend, we would need to make a case-by-case analysis to make a more fair judgment.
I know a lot of gay people who are friends of mine. I have found that this guys are even better christians than some i know.

Heres an analogy for you

If two people are on a race track. One is set up in normal running cloths. The other one is dressed the same except that he is wearing a 100 pound back pack. The race is 16 times around the track. Half way through the race the man with out the pack is 3 laps ahead. As you can imagine the guy wearing the back pack cannot keep up at all. Everyone see's that it is not a fair race at that point so they decide to do something to make the race even.
They tell the man with the back pack that he doesn't have to were it anymore. So the man is 3 laps behind but he has all the same advantages as the guy that is three laps ahead. Is this now fair because he no longer has the back pack on?
Of course it isn't. There needs to be other things done to make up for the advantage that man in front had. Maybe give him a back-pack for the rest of the race.

This is the advantage that Christianity has. It is the number one religion in the world. It has already crossed the finish line and now it is trying to look back and say lets all play fair now. If Christianity wants that then it should have played fair in the first place.

Just as babes makes mistakes and stumble and fall in their infancy, so do christians.

But christianity is also now getting past its infancy stage....and is maturing and growing up ... and christians are coming together in one Accord.

Lets not look backwards ,but forward now.
The past is the past.
Today is a new day.
And tomorrow awaits.....

My friend and brother, because it is easier for detractors to call the rotten apples the whole of the barrel. And that is not limited to slurring just Christians or certain races of people.

the license for partiality is called licentiousness.(a scapegoat for advantage and privelege). Not rights, but licentious privelege given the minority tacitly by the majority, whatever category one would choose for an example.
race, creed or religion...licentiousness is a malignant appeasement that restores nothing and further divides.

The licentiousness of the Church doing abhorrant things in the name of the Lord accompishes to taint the saints and alienate the victims and those that pity the victims. None of which is without just recompense from God in the reaping of what one sows.

It is not known to all yet, but to the saints, now and then and in the future that such things are unconscionable to God for having been done by the individuals so doing. Period.

Judgement seems slack from God when these things happen with impunity, but history shows the amendment of the wrongs by their ceased doing. Judgement has yet to be exacted for these crimes against humanity.

Licentiousness is not a tolerable trait in a child of God.

It is a depravity of man in need of remedy.

Over-compensations are licentious as well. All men face challenges and coddling does no good to remove them, only prolong the suffering of the wrongs done to the forebearers in the hearts of those so foreborn and belittled by the remembrance.

All must be borne up equally and equally we face our challenges in life which are many, and uniquely shaped to our relative appearance on the stage of man, where ever any of us finds our fortune of birth and circumstance.

I share your grief.

Nope. Read tis for the dates of the gospels. Luke was a doctor who did not know Jesus. He interviewed disciples and citizens and compiled his book from what he learned.
