Topic: I love you, I miss you, I'll make you proud.

With such a big heart, it shall continue to beat. Its warmth always giving, to your children, your grandchildren, and everyone you meet. I hope heaven is brighter now, with your spirit inside. I have in me what you have taught, I hope I will always keep your pride. You are my pillar, my strength, the reason I am alive. How I miss our talks, the laughter we shared. I love you so much, you were the one who always cared. I love you so much, but I am not scared. I know you are in a better place, and wish nothing more than to see my smiling face... So I will not cry, atleast I will try, if only I had your strength. I'll think of you with every silver lined cloud... I love you, I miss you, I'll make you proud.

Thanks Cat & Teddy Nothing I write or anyone else can ever be good enough to sum up such an incredible woman this world has lost. Maybe someday I will write one that can do her more justice....right now I'm just letting go some of the tears. I know no matter what I wrote though, my grandma would be proud.

Ohhh Katie your grandmother is very proud of you. And believe it or not you do have her strength wihin I can see it in your face and feel it within your words. I was always told that when we are thinking about someone that is no longer with us. It means they are sending huggs and kisses our way. Just that thought alone always brings a smile to my face when I'm thinking of them.

A *BIG* thanks to everyone who posted! THANK YOU! Since the aftermath of the wake, prayer services, and funeral Easter has kept me and my boy busy...but now that I have time to think...I miss her so much. She was such a HUGE part of my life. In my first years she was like a 2nd mom to me & much more....a "friend". At 89 years old she was as sharp as a tack!!! She was a human dictionary!!! I always called her whenever I was proof reading an essay or playing scrabble. Not only was she a smart cookie, she was so STRONG....INDEPENDENT, she was my role model :) In her mid 40's she became legally blind....but that never stopped her one bit from enjoying cooking, gardening, and doing crafts. In all my years of knowing her she has NEVER cried in front of me. She was such a incredible person, loving, caring, unselfish, compassionate, wise, and darn right "cool".
