Lindyy says:
It is official - Spitzer resigned. The new governor will take the oath on Monday. He is Republican David Patterson. I might add he has overcome many obstancles in life, his being blind. And, he is an African American. Very well respected by all. Quite a feat, and to be greatly commended, Mr. Patterson. Wonder which way New York will vote now? Does not look good at all for the democrats. Lindyy |

and the point of all this is?

Lindyy says:
Verified - Elliott Spitzer was (is no more) a PLEDGED SUPER DELEGATE to Hillary Clinton. Rather substantiates the fact that they were, in fact 'buddies.' Yet, she, within an hour of the exposure of his criminal actions, removed every trace of reference to him in her website. But, this should not surprise anyone - her actions that is. Lindyy |

i read earlier someone made a comment about how she's pull the same thing all dems do, cut and run. removing herself from the trouble issue
is that to say that republicans don't know when to leave well enough alone and to distance themselves from harmful issues? |

The guy got caught with his hand in the ~ Well.. Cookie jar just doesn't work here, now does it.~
Whether it is a Democrat or a Republican...makes little difference to me. It is just another politician that seems to have a double standard. One for the rest of us, and one for him. So? This is not really news! His career, for all intent and purpose is most likely over. Discussing who was sleeping in who's bed (politically) after the fact is really pretty pointless. Neither side can take the moral high ground on this. I'm sure that this race, like any other, will drum up more corruption and mayhem on both sides. If anything.. That is a good aspect of the process... Less corruption. Less white collar crime at high levels. Fewer self serving people in positions of power. Making these acts a talking point as to what party is better or worse? Always works out to be an exercise in futility. It always takes the voters on a little journey way off point. Now.. If only we could make 'stupid' illegal when it comes to those in power. That would be worth talking about! On a side note. Jist says... We all know that talking in the third person is a symptom of Schizophrenia, don't we? Jist |

I turned on the news for 5 mins and all it was, was 'OMG SPITZER HAS HAXX0R SEXX0R WITH A WOMAN!? ZOMG NEVER SAW IT COMING!"
And thats on Fox and CNN,tho after the headline part they go into their normal routes, like a special Fox anaylist debating whether the wife of the guy will stay with him, and CNN is calling EVERY former Governor of NY. When Kentucky's Gov got in touble for paying hookers, there was no media "outrage" or anything, people here were like "orly? ohwell that happens all the time" |

this is an opportune time to smear **** on the democratic party and on Hillary's campaign specifically. I can promise you, turn over more rocks on Capitol Hill, you'll find more snakes of every species and party.

It explains it in an article by the Washington Post: "The fallout at the presidential level is likely to be minor. _Yes, Spitzer was supporter of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton _(N.Y.), but he was far from an active advocate." The link is here: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/03/spitzer_scandal_what_does_it_m.html |
