I prefer to date soldiers seeing that I'm a soldier myself, I found most non-Army men, would rather me give it up to be a homemaker...or they just don't seem to understand why I love what I do... You haven't gone to boot yet?? and these guys who want you to be a homemaker.... do they live in 1950???

I wouldn't date a bartender or anyone whose work involves alcohol -- why is that? Just curious..... I used to bartend and I made a ton of money doing it... and you work 1/2 the hours of other people.

Because I've seen alcohol destroy a number of people I loved, and I have chosen to eliminate it from my life. I won't date anyone who drinks and I won't date anyone who pushes the poison.

I couldn't date a cop or firefighter...or really anyone with a dangerous profession...which I guess includes a large animal trainer, Steve Erwin (RIP), a window washer on a skyscraper, a soilder (GOD BLESS THEM THOUGH!!)... etcetera... etcetera... etcetera I just couldn't have that fear that he wasn't gonna come home again looming over me...

any man that goes out and earns an honest living is OK in my book.. there are some I perfer, and some I don't perfer, but at the end of the day, it's all about what that person is to me.... nothing more, nothing less... So he can be a ditch digger, or the CEO of a fortune 500 company, and who he is to me is way more important than what he does to earn a living.

Good morning shoes. I'll agree about the lawyers and add lobbyists, and (many are not of the same opinion)but anyone who is overly ambitious or OVERLY concerned about being upwardly mobile. I'm by no means anti - ambition or monetary gain, I just am particular about agendas, where values lay, and smelling the roses.

I think that we all can say Oh what someone does for a living does not matter but I find that there are a few personality things that goes along with how people chose to make thier way in this world .. I am not saying that there are not exceptions .. Make a rule and someone will break it .. but for the most part .. So you are reading a profile and you see certain occupations I was wondering if other people draw a conclusion .. or if they would be honest about it if they did .. just some thoughts this am ...

I'm also anti - "absolutes". My sister married a Conservative and we come from a very liberal family. My brother in law is a very good man and I love him dearly. (slightly off subject sorry)...... ....but true enough about judgment....like (aside from all of the jokes) the "true believer" Lawyer doing pro-bono work for the needy. Our profession shouldn't define "who we are".
