Soulmate - term used when we think we are in love and have found that "someone" supposedly out there for us.
Roommate - term used when we no longer think we are in love and that special "someone" has a time limit to move out.

If you've been with them longer than a week and haven't felt the need to purchase a firearm... chances are... they might be your soulmate... Or not.

....society has been bombarded with the word....so it has taken on new meanings never meant to mean.....I found mine 24 years ago, I was already an astrologer so it wasn't a foreign term to me , but not widely used either....I found myself thinking the same about us 20 years later....that was my proof....unfortunately the child we lost while together will always be the thing that keeps us apart......

Check out the book "Eat, Pray, Love" for an interesting definition. In a nutshell, it states that soulmates are not necessarily those who we end up loving for the rest of our life, but those who push our personal growth and we do the same for them. Could be someone we have known for a short time, but whose impression was so life-altering that they touched our soul and greatly influenced the journey of our lives. Don't know whether I believe this definition (because it would make some people who I don't care for qualify as soulmates) but it's interesting. Besides, I don't need to find someone to complete my soul...it's whole as is. So is my boyfriend's, and I much prefer the idea of us being whole and complete with two souls instead of sharing one. ...oh believe it girlfriend its just as she wrote ! |

To me a soul mate is someone sees the real me, including the flaws & loves me as I am. His strengths would support my weaknesses & mine would support his. Even when we dissagreed we would truly understand the other's view, & accept that we have that difference without allowing it to cause a rift. We would build each other's confidence & trust in each other. In a crowded room our eyes would meet & we could communicate without words. The foundation would have to be natural, but bonding & growing trust would continue to enhance it. I have had the natural beginings of this a few times, but I think "baggage" interfers like static. (Sometimes mine, sometimes his). Somehow you have to rise above the outside interference & allow that bonding to grow the magic. So it's something that you grow into then...Not something that you already are... that makes sense...Thanks |

I also believe there is a very intense connection on a spiritual level as well as mental and emotional.I believe you feel this connection on all levels, and it is not forced or contrived, but comes very naturally. You also understand each other on many different levels. |

OK... dude with all this stuff you have been told nobody said anything about the fact is from history the notion is/was that we are all two haves of the same whole...its what drives us to look/seek another in the first place it is believed that we do not meet our soul mate every life (yes this is in reference to Past lives, reincarnation), its all a part of the same ancient belief system ! The point is that as you live each life you triumph and you fail each lesson brings you closer to the final destination which is to be with your "soul mate" reunited as one for all eternity, thats where the term came from, so you could find them this round or not till the next...its really outa your hands so just live and remember the rule of Karma, thats the judgement tool that is used for growth and non-growth....ok done with eastern religious history !

I have been blessed to have met two women I would consider a soul mate! First lady, I was too young to understand; still had wild oats, but loved her just the same. Second lady, was taken from me. So, yes, I believe we have the opportunity to find more than one soul mate!!! If I never find another, I still know I was truly loved, and gave love, in this lifetime...

Soulmate...It means finding the right woman for me, one who I will love so much she feels part of me...so if she hurts I hurt, we laugh, cry and feel, Oh My!!....when we are together a million people may walk by but they all seem to disappear….we share our hopes, dreams & lives together......its the love that makes my insides flutter when she is near and makes my heart ache when she's gone...when just a simple touch of her hand brings inner warmth & I want to squeeze it tight...I believe in that...I wish for it all the time...
