i GO TO the poetry section and read alot of poetry.......I think Ive posted one really crappy poem there......I appreciate anyone who can put thoughts into a nice worded package!!!

Actually, I'm quite touched by the poetry. We all have different talents. Art comes in many forms, but I did use to write poems when I had more time.......or devoted more time to that.

My whole problem with the poetry forum, is that poems are a part of you, not something you just throw together in 5 minutes and post for the world to see. I don't see how someone can post 20 poems a day, its just silly.

I dont think you get what Im saying ... I appreciate the creative outlet...

You just don't like the lack of critizism.

I could be over-critical on damn near every poem I've read on here, but I really don't want to hurt someone's feelings that badly. I might be an asshole, but I do have "some" limits.

Thats a good part of it ... but I basically just read a poem there about getting laid .. and the sheeple applauded like this wordsmith was magical...Ive read better stuff in Penthouse...Maybe Im just being cynical...

I can post some thing and get no replies or some thing and get many replies.But I continue to try and write and believe me some are pretty bad but it's a place to express yourself,joke,smile and laugh

I thought I was one of the few that loved the word "sheeple"!

I'm no great big fan of poetry, but it seems to me, that at the very least, these people are kind and respectful of one another, I'm sure that anyone who wanted to join them would be more than welcome to do so. I know most of them and i'm willing to bet anyone who wishes to post there would be welcomed with open arms. For those who would rather not view the poetry section, you can customize your forums to exclude that category by selecting my account, settings, forum settings and choose which forums you do not wish to view.

I'm trying to get the nerve to post some of my own writing here. I do post inspirational readings and jokes, but have yet to post my own work

There are a lot of truly talented people here that do post!

oh you mean like the grammies and all the other award shows...they suck each other off and say how great they are when they are the ones doing it....i think police EMS(my profession), school teacher, fireman and other with hard jobs should get the awards and high pay

That is so true and yeah I'm one of those that post in the poetry section. As far as how many poems a day ones post does it really matter? For some the words come much easier then it does for others. There is no shame or glory within that for each has there own way of writing.

But...... one thing you don't see in the poetry section too often is the drama, name calling or attacking other members. Instead you tend to see more of a friendly atmosphere were you hear others more often praise one another.

Yeah we do tend to spend more of our time in the poetry section just for that reason. But we stil post in the other areas as well. You see it don't matter to us if everyone reads or comments to our poems. We write because it does come from the heart it is not a copy and paste section.

We put upon the page what we feel within. If some read then fine if not fine. We don't judge you for what you write why should we judge you for putting what comes from within upon the page for all to read. Myself if I don't understand it I don't post to it for just because I don't understand it does not mean someone else does not.
