I've, for better or worse, decided to remove all my personal info from my profile. My reasons being that although I've crushed sincerely on some extremely lovely ladies (you know who you are), they all seem to live way too far away for it to be practical or prudent to hope for much of anything to blossom from it. I guess I'm feeling a little deflated but I'll survive and I'm just hoping to get back on track with the being "true to myself" thing.
Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

By the way, this doesn't change a thing concerning anything that I've expressed to anyone up until now. I just don't want to add confusion or dissapointment to anyone's life.

why would you remove it ?? Why not just leave it up and ride it out .. you never know what could happen .. You are too great of a guy to be alone for very long .. and what is distance but a little barrier ... I think that good could more than out weigh the bad on this one ..Leave it on there but has friends and see what blossoms from there .. and being true to yourself does not mean locking your self away .. Do you need a princess with hiking boots to climb the tower and rescue you ??

I wish you luck, while I have had quite a lot of fun on this site, I have yet to meet anyone either. I enjoy the forums and the friends I have made so far, and if and when I do meet that special someone, I doubt I would place boundaries or limits, but this is JMO. Good luck!

"Too far" is any distance that prevents me from just casually getting to know someone, which I need before I can offer deeper intimacy. In real life, you're able to use and recieve the subtle eye signals and body language that it's ok to move closer to that (intimacy). Online, it's just way too tempting to believe in things that have no basis in reality. I shouldn't, therefore couldn't, expect that just because I've spent hours and hours relating with someone online, it would cut much ice when/if an actual meeting occured. It would still be, no matter what, just two strangers meeting. Thanks for wishing me goodluck and I wish that for you too.

My parameters have always been set to a reasonable distance. (50 miles) but have yet to speak to even one likely potential candidate, even so. Most people I've been super attracted to, I've met in the forums.

Why would you remove your narrative if you simply don't want long distance? Is there no one local, or are you trapped in the sitaution where only people far away contact you?

I'm confused as to why it has to be an all or nothing situation....
