When I am on the cam with my SO, I get to see him laugh at what I say or type or vice versa... and we can look into each others eyes. It is a foundational concern for me. I can tell you if not for the cam, there were many dates I would not have gone on. I ran across a lot of people with a cam but no pics. thats great lilith - it worked for you 
Thank you Fran! I'm not saying it is universal to everyone, I'm just saying it's like the pre-date, it eases your mind and shows you who to look for in the coffeeshop- or airport, lol. Or it can, if you want it to. And afterwards it can really keep you closer. |

the webcam keeps me close and connect to family and friends. I just dont use it as a requirement to speak to people online. If and when I am lucky to make a match like that, in person would make it more special for me.  Now after I have met that SO, I agree the cam can come in handy when not together.

Do you think that people should use webcams to pre meet so to speak prior to meeting in person?? - nothing dirty just to see each other while you talk kind of thing... I been telling people this as long as I been on here. There are to many people on these sites that don't look like there pic and I know a couple right now, but thats for them to deal with. The thing about the cam, it kinda shows the truth and you'll know what your kind of getting. The thing about it though, is a lot of people will use some kind of excuse in not having one etc etc etc. If you can buy a cell and pay for that. Then a cam is nothing because there only like $30 and your cell will run you $100 a month sometimes. Anyway, if I'm going to meet someone and they give me this I don't have a cam blah blah blah. Don't wast my time because I want wast yours and will move on.... |

I would prefer it however, because there are so mnay people that put misleading photographs up and such. not to say theres anythign wrong with a a pic that is two years old, but this way yuo know what to expect when you meet the person as well. |
