Just as there was a real need for the torture of people in WW2 Germany for 'medical knowledge' and extraction of information for military purposes. This had those responsible before an Allied Military Tribunal and some are still brought before a War Crimes Court today. The excuse wasn't found acceptable then but should be now?

Ok here is a suggested test for your theory (and it has been done and proven accurate).

We will take you (as an example, nothign personal) and I can garuntee that I can make you sign a statement and admit to some of the vilest and most heinous crimes known to exist, to include raping and sodomizing a little child.

Now, we all here know you would not do anything of the sort,and yo would probably be fairly murderous if you caught someone else doing it, that is why I am using it as an example.

I garuntee, that with enough torture though that yuo will not only admit, but actually believe that you had done the things I mentioned. This has been proven time and time again.

Exactly my point. By watching this stuff, yuo coe to the conclusion that it is ok to torture other people for information that will most liekly be flase in nature after being tortured.

like you said there is a big difference between torture and interrogation. However, an act is not considered torture simply because of who does it. Torture is torture no matter who uses the method.
Yes some method so if torture are more brutal than others, but that does not mean less brutal forms of torture are acceptable.

Also keep in mind, just because we are america and they are not, doe snot mean that waterboarding is nt torture(as an example) if we apply it, and it IS torture if they apply it. There is one word for that: hipocrite.

to Me Water Boarding is NOT Torture! WE (the USA) do NOT CUt off Haeds, Burn People alive, bury them so only their Heads are Showing then Stone them to Death, WE do NOT Give our Women Lashing for showing Skin to Me Those Things are Torture.

When you can not trust the results of the process of information gatehring, no it does not justify using those methods.

If I were to tie you to a table, slather you in honey, and open a box of ants, I garuntee you would be screaming to sign anything I wanted you to sign. The same thing goes for waterboarding and any other form of torture. You would also be wiling to stand up in court and state that everything you singed and stated was true and accurate just to avoid haveing to go through that abuse again.

So no, the means does not justify the emd in the case of torture.
