I think so too, but I've been told that it's the smart thing to do

I do tend to check local folks out on the Oklahoma District Court Network before going out with them :) Of course, that only tells you something if it happened here in OK but if they've been local for long, it's something nice to use as a resource. People are not always what or who they present themselves to be. I think it is a good idea, personally.

Being a man, with a fair share of street smarts...no, but if I weren't (on both counts) then maybe I would...

If you want to know anything about me before meeting me just ask lol, really I have noting to hinde from.

But to get back on subject if you feel the need to run a backround check on some one before meeting them, they must of givin you a red flag or something for you to be worried enough about to do so etc, in the first place.

nah.. say you find out they were involved in a bank robery.. you would assume that person would steal your wallet after dinner.. or at least judge them harshly  laugh

If the idea to do that ever occurred to me, I would see that as a red flag in itself, and I probably wouldn't continue to deal with that person. I've had some really bad experiences with people I met on line, but I don't think I would have found anything helpful by doing a background check.

no why would you? Would you do that if you met someone on the street. You have to trust someone sometime. Life is a risk enjoy it and learn from it. Enjoy it to the fullest

It would be a good idea. If they go by any aliases, it may be hard to get an accurate background check though.
