I live thousand of miles away from my mom. Just the other day she called me saying someone (a guy) from New Zealand, who is one of her visitors, saw my pictures and he likes me and wanted to meet me in person. I was surprised because I have learned that this guy came to my country with the hope of finding a girl to be his wife. FYI, he is 45 years old . Now, today (Feb. 4) he and his company made their way to my city. Just a while ago one of his female companions phoned me, we talked and she tried to arrange when to meet me, but the bad thing is that I live 10 miles from the hotel where they checked in and I am working and I have a hard time finding my free time during weekdays. So she tried asking me if can I just go and meet them at the hotel. Since I dont find myself comfortable in meeting (since I am not interested) I just said sorry, I cant meet him up.

Now I am wondering...

Is it right to ask a girl to meet a guy since the guy is the one who is interested in meeting up?
Say he is a foreigner to my country but still, I guess it's just an ethic, being a guy, he should do the initiative or do the first move, unless he is a coward

I agree with you, I think a guy should be man enough to go to the woman that he's interested in and talk to her face to face. If he can't take a chance and make the first move for you then he doesn't deserve you ;)

Honestly I was surprised when my mom told me someone who is looking for a girl to make his wife is interested in meeting me. I would'nt say I am not going to meet him, of course I would but it's for the sake of arts alone, I have no intention, I wont give him hints that will make him think Im giving him a chance its because I consider myself taken though I have'nt met this guy I am dating online in person, we both are sure about ourselves. Anyways, I met him on here (JSH), he lives in Florida, I live in the Philippines, what a long way to go but he promised me he will come here and get me, hopefully in few months time We planned on starting a savings here, Il be the treasurer
