Hey everyone!
Do you believe in having God part of your relationship? I believe that Its important to have God with you and your special someone from the start. With God in your relationship he will guid the both of you into the right direction. After all I am nothing with out God in my life.... |

I totally want God first, and involved in the relationship. I wish more people wore like that.

Wow! Haven't heard anyone bring that topic up lately. I think if more people agreed with you they wouldn't be so frustrated looking for love on sites like this.

I never have taking religion that serious....I feel your do your own form of worship and your guidance in life depends on your decisions that you make...

I believe that God will help you through thick and thin, make your love for one another closer and deep. I believe that God will make your relationship into a happy and healthy relationship.

I'd say "faith" or "deity" would be a better wording in this case. I believe that your religious beliefs play an important part in your relationships. Not necessarily God, but whatever you believe in, solely BECAUSE you believe that it will help you. To me, religion is a way to make yourself stronger. And that's what you need to be to have a happy, healthy relationship: strength.

If both individuals are very Spiritual whether they call themselves Christian or not, then God is already a part of their lives and that would include any relationships/ie with friends, family and partners/lovers.
I am not sure if your question was in general for a couple or specifically wondering if God/The Spirit can be part of the sexual part of a relationship. I do believe as many people whom I have spoken with also believe, that the act of making love can be a very Spiritual experience. I know that in Tantric sex it is more spiritual an experience. Also, if the two people's chemistry/energy wavelengths are very similar...thats the only times I have experienced sex as a spiritual experience. |

I think God should be a part of any relationship I have. I won't date someone with differing beliefs b/c it would cause problems for me. I also do not want a man that does not believe being a father figure to my son. I want someone I can pray with, share my love of God with, and go to church with.

God has always been a part of my life and will forever be a part of me. I am inseparable from God.
Now religion is a totally differnet matter. Religion as an organized institution or a specific dogma has no place in my life whatsoever. If my partner thinks that a book or a church is God, then she’s an idol worshiper in my eyes and can’t possibly know God. She’s been blinded by idol worship. I’d rather have an atheist as a partner than an idol worshiper. It’s not important to me if my partner doesn’t recognize God. But it is important that she doesn’t worship a book or an institution. I’m not interested in worshiping dogma. God is real for me, and lives in my heart. I don’t need to look to bigoted hypocrites to find God. So yes, God is important, or at least a deep appreciation for the universe and love of life (which is the same thing as loving God as far as I’m concerned). Far too many people worship ideologies and have no respect for the universe. You can’t have no respect for the universe and claim to love God simultaneously. God and the universe are one in the same thing. I have no patience or respect for any religion that attempts to separate them. |

here is some information I had found for a different thread. I think it fits here.
Here is an interesting fact for you "Divorce rates among conservative Christians were significantly higher than for other faith groups, and much higher than Atheists and Agnostics experience." http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_dira.htm |
